Relevansi ayat-ayat Qasam terhadap peran dan kedudukan jiwa pada surah Asy-Syams dalam tafsir Al-Mishbah

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana M. Quraish Shihab menafsirkan ayat-ayat qasam dalam Surah Asy-Syams serta relevansinya terhadap peran dan kedudukan jiwa manusia. Penelitian ini berangkat dari pentingnya memahami hubungan antara ayat-ayat sumpah (qasam) dengan konsep penyucian jiwa (tazkiyat al-nafs) dalam Al-Qur’an, khususnya pada Surah Asy-Syams yang menekankan dimensi moral dan spiritual manusia.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian library research (studi kepustakaan). Data primer diperoleh dari Tafsīr al-Mishbāḥ karya M. Quraish Shihab, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari buku, jurnal, dan karya ilmiah lain yang relevan dengan kajian qasam, jiwa (nafs), dan penyuciannya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi dengan cara membaca, mencatat, dan mengklasifikasikan data yang berkaitan dengan objek penelitian, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif-analitis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:
1. M. Quraish Shihab menafsirkan rangkaian ayat-ayat qasam dalam Surah Asy-Syams sebagai sumpah yang tersusun secara bertingkat dan saling bersaksian, dimulai dari fenomena kosmik seperti matahari, bulan, siang, dan malam, yang berfungsi mengantarkan pembaca kepada tema sentral surah, yaitu jiwa manusia. Jiwa dipahami sebagai totalitas potensi baik dan buruk yang Allah ciptakan secara seimbang, sehingga manusia memiliki kebebasan sekaligus tanggung jawab moral dalam menentukan arah hidupnya.
2. Relevansi ayat-ayat qasam tersebut terletak pada penegasan peran dan kedudukan jiwa sebagai pusat kesadaran moral manusia. Ayat qad aflaḥa man zakkāhā dipahami sebagai seruan untuk melakukan penyucian jiwa sebagai puncak proses moral dan spiritual, sedangkan ayat wa qad khāba man dassāhā menegaskan bahwa pengabaian dan pengotoran jiwa akan membawa manusia pada kerugian. Dengan demikian, ayat-ayat qasam dalam Surah Asy-Syams tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai bentuk sumpah, tetapi juga menempatkan jiwa sebagai fondasi utama keselamatan dan kesempurnaan manusia di hadapan Allah Swt.

ABSTRACT

This study examines how M. Quraish Shihab interprets the qasam verses in Surah Asy-Syams and their relevance to the role and position of the human soul. This study departs from the importance of understanding the relationship between the verses of oaths (qasam) and the concept of purification of the soul (tazkiyat al-nafs) in the Qur'an, especially in Surah Asy-Syams, which emphasizes the moral and spiritual dimensions of humans.
This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research type of study. Primary data was obtained from Tafsīr al-Mishbāḥ by M. Quraish Shihab, while secondary data came from books, journals, and other scientific works relevant to the study of qasam, the soul (nafs), and its purification. The data collection technique was carried out through documentary studies by reading, recording, and classifying data related to the research object, then analyzing it descriptively and analytically.
The results of the study show that:
1. M. Quraish Shihab interprets the series of qasam verses in Surah Asy-Syams as oaths that are arranged in tiers and bear witness to one another, starting from cosmic phenomena such as the sun, moon, day, and night, which serve to lead the reader to the central theme of the surah, namely the human soul. The soul is understood as the totality of good and bad potentials that Allah created in balance, so that humans have both freedom and moral responsibility in determining the direction of their lives.
2. The relevance of these qasam verses lies in the affirmation of the role and position of the soul as the center of human moral consciousness. The verse qad aflaḥa man zakkāhā is understood as a call to purify the soul as the pinnacle of the moral and spiritual process, while the verse wa qad khāba man dassāhā emphasizes that neglecting and defiling the soul will lead humans to loss. Thus, the qasam verses in Surah Asy-Syams not only function as a form of oath, but also place the soul as the main foundation of human salvation and perfection before Allah Swt.

تبحث هذه الدراسة في كيفية تفسير م. قريش شهاب لآيات القسم في سورة الشمس وعلاقتها بدور ومكانة النفس البشرية. تنبع هذه الدراسة من أهمية فهم العلاقة بين آيات القسم ومفهوم تزكية النفس في القرآن الكريم، ولا سيما في سورة الشمس التي تركز على الأبعاد الأخلاقية والروحية للإنسان.
تستخدم هذه الدراسة نهجًا نوعيًا مع نوع من الدراسة البحثية المكتبية. تم الحصول على البيانات الأولية من تفسير المشباح لمحمد قريش شهاب، بينما جاءت البيانات الثانوية من الكتب والمجلات والأعمال العلمية الأخرى ذات الصلة بدراسة القسم والنفس وتطهيرها. تم تنفيذ تقنية جمع البيانات من خلال الدراسات الوثائقية عن طريق قراءة وتسجيل وتصنيف البيانات المتعلقة بموضوع البحث، ثم تحليلها وصفياً وتحليلياً.
تظهر نتائج الدراسة ما يلي:
1 يفسر م. قريش شهاب سلسلة آيات القسم في سورة الشمس على أنها أقسام مرتبة في مستويات وتشهد بعضها على بعض، بدءًا من الظواهر الكونية مثل الشمس والقمر والنهار والليل، والتي تعمل على توجيه القارئ إلى الموضوع الرئيسي للسورة، وهو النفس البشرية. تُفهم الروح على أنها مجموع الإمكانات الحسنة والسيئة التي خلقها الله في توازن، بحيث يتمتع البشر بالحرية والمسؤولية الأخلاقية في تحديد اتجاه حياتهم.
2 تكمن أهمية آيات القسم هذه في تأكيد دور ومكانة الروح باعتبارها مركز الوعي الأخلاقي للإنسان. تُفهم الآية ”قَد أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا“ على أنها دعوة لتنقية النفس باعتبارها ذروة العملية الأخلاقية والروحية، بينما تؤكد الآية ”وَقَد خَبَأَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا“ أن إهمال النفس وتلويثها سيؤدي بالبشر إلى الهلاك. وبالتالي، فإن آيات القسم في سورة الشمس لا تعمل فقط كشكل من أشكال القسم، بل تضع الروح أيضًا كأساس رئيسي لخلاص الإنسان وكماله أمام الله سبحانه وتعالى.
