Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini difokuskan pada penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC)

Peneliti mengajukan pertanyaansebagai berikut: (1) sejauh mana keefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam mengungkapkan pokok pikiran pada teks bacaan? (2) sejauh mana keefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam pernyataan benar dan salah pada teks bacaan? (3) sejauh mana keefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam memahami makna pada teks bacaan?

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) mengetahui sejauh mana keefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam mengungkapkan pokok pikiran pada teks bacaan (2) mengetahui sejauh mana keefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam pernyataan benar dan salah pada teks bacaan (3) mengetahui sejauh mana keefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam memahami makna pada teks bacaan

Peneliti berasumsi bahwa penggunaan sejauh mana kefektifan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam kemahiran membaca, khususnya terhadap dalam mengungkapkan pokok pikiran pada teks bacaan, pernyataan benar dan salah pada teks bacaan, dan memahami makna pada teks bacaan.

Peneliti menggunakan penelitian eksperimen dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa di MAN 1 Malang semester 2 tahun ajaran
2011/2012. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa di kelas X MAN 1 Malang. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, tes, observasi, dan kuesioner.

Hasil dari penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) bahwa penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) efektif dalam mengungkapkan pokok pikiran pada teks bacaan karena t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel (2,04<4,33>2,75) (2) bahwa penggunaan penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) tidak efektif dalam membandingkan pernyataan benar dan salah dengan tepat pada teks bacaan. Hasil dari dua tes menunjukkan t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel (2,75>1,16<2,04) (3) bahwa penggunaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) tidak efektif dalam memahami makna pada teks bacaan. Hasil dari dua tes menunjukkan t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel (2,04>0,10<2,75).

ABSTRACT

This study is focuses on the importance of using the method, especially using Cooperative Learning type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition(CIRC) in Reading Skill.

The researcher presented the research questions, (1) How effective is the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text readable in the expression of the main idea? (2) How effective is the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text readable in terms of discrimination between correct and incorrect statements? (3) How effective is the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text reading to understand the meaning?

This research purpose that (1) to find out how effective is the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text readable in the expression of the main idea (2) to find out how effective is the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text readable in terms of discrimination between correct and incorrect statements (3) to find out how effective is the use of cooperative learning method method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text reading to understand the meaning.

This research assumed that the use of cooperative learning style cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) has lead to upgrade the skill of learners to read, especially towards the understanding of the text readable expression of the main idea, the distinction between the right words and phrases wrong, and understand the meaning.

The researcher used the experimental approach and used quantitative input. The community in this research means all students from public high school in the first year of the second study 2011/2012. But as the sample for this research means the students in the first quarter of public high school one malang. For data in this research is use interview, test, observation, and questionnaire.

The most important results of this research lies that are summarized as follows: (1) that the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text reading has been given a positive impact in the expression of the main idea because t result bigger than t table (2,04<4,33>2,75) (2) that the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text reading not effective impact on the distinction between statements
correct and phrases wrong because t result smaller than t table (2,75>1,16<2,04) (3) that the use of cooperative learning method type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) to teach the understanding of the text reading not effective in understanding the meaning because t result smaller than t table (2,04>0,10<2,75).
