Abstract
ABSTRAK
Indonesia memiliki salah satu keanekaragaman budaya dunia. Kebhinekaan Indonesia bak pisau bermata dua. Selain sebagai keunggulan, keragaman menyebabkan banyak konflik. Untuk mencegah terjadinya konflik tersebut, diperlukan kesadaran multikultural yang efektif jika ditanamkan melalui pendidikan. Selain itu, agama juga memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga perdamaian. Agama Islam memiliki konsep Islam Rahmatan li al-'âlamîn, ajaran Islam universal yang mengajarkan umatnya untuk hidup damai berdampingan dan menjaga perdamaian. Beberapa intelektual Islam Indonesia menyebarkan konsep Islam universal dengan caranya masing-masing. Di kalangan tokoh cendekiawan muslim Indonesia, Islam universal paling sering diungkapkan oleh Nurcholish Madjid. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk mencegah terjadinya konflik, ada dua pendekatan yang dapat digunakan, yaitu pertama, melalui pendekatan pendidikan multikultural yang berwawasan dan kedua, melalui pendekatan agama, khususnya Islam yang bersuara universal. Oleh karena itu, wacana pendidikan multikultural dalam bingkai universalisme Islam bagi bangsa Indonesia yang majemuk sangat mendesak untuk dibenahi. Tokoh utama terlihat sangat mengedepankan pandangan multikulturalisme dan universalisme Islam, yaitu Nurcholish Madjid. Kajian ini akan mengkaji pemikiran Nurcholish Madjid tentang universalisme Islam kemudian menghubungkannya dengan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan multikultural sehingga akan diketahui gagasan universalisme Islam Nurcholish Madjid tentang konsep dan implementasi pendidikan multikultural. penelitian kepustakaan atau library research. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi dan analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi (content analysis).
Kajian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa universalisme Islam dalam pandangan Islam Nurcholish Madjid adalah rahmatan lil 'alamiin, yaitu Islam sebagai agama untuk seluruh umat manusia, tidak membedakan bahasa, ras, waktu dan tempat. Agama Islam universal juga berarti dapat dibawa ke mana saja dan di mana saja, serta memiliki kemampuan menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan budaya di mana ia tumbuh dan berkembang. Islam universal didasarkan pada makna 'Islam' berarti ketundukan dan penyerahan diri kepada Tuhan sebagai unsur alam dan kemanusiaan sejati, persatuan dan ajaran kenabian para nabi kepada semua orang dan bangsa. Islam adalah wujud universal kebudayaan Islam yang mengutamakan ikatan peradaban (bonds of civility), seperti penghormatan terhadap hukum, penghormatan terhadap toleransi, dan pluralisme, egalitarianisme dan pembelaan hak asasi manusia sebagai bagian dari pemahaman universal manusia, penghargaan terhadap prestasi bukan prestise. , keterbukaan partisipasi seluruh masyarakat, dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualititatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan atau library research. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi dan analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi (content analysis). Kajian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa universalisme Islam dalam pandangan Islam Nurcholish Madjid adalah rahmatan lil. 'alamiin, yaitu Islam sebagai agama untuk seluruh umat manusia, tanpa memandang bahasa, ras, waktu dan tempat. Agama Islam universal juga berarti dapat dibawa ke mana saja dan di mana saja, serta memiliki kemampuan menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan budaya di mana ia tumbuh dan berkembang. Islam universal didasarkan pada makna 'Islam' berarti ketundukan dan penyerahan diri kepada Tuhan sebagai unsur alam dan kemanusiaan sejati, persatuan dan ajaran kenabian para nabi kepada semua orang dan bangsa. Universalisme Islam dalam pandangan Nurcholish Madjid memiliki 'roh' yang sama dengan pendidikan multikultural. Semangat yang sama tersirat dalam penerapan pendidikan multikultural sebagai berikut; (A) Penghargaan dalam keberagaman, diwujudkan dalam; pertama, keragaman bahasa, yaitu penggunaan bahasa daerah, bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa asing dalam bahasa pengantar pembelajaran, bahasa sehari-hari di sekolah serta bahasa komunikasi dalam pendidikan. Kedua, menghargai keberagaman agama dan kepercayaan, dapat diwujudkan dalam doa bersama, saling kunjung, kegiatan, dan pendekatan kognitif seperti metode pemecahan masalah dan studi kasus. Ketiga, penghargaan terhadap keragaman etnis, dapat diwujudkan melalui narasi yang multietnis, analogi, dan ekskursi. (B) Keadilan Sosial, diwujudkan dalam pendidikan dan keadilan serta persamaan hak atas pendidikan. Dapat diterapkan pada model pendidikan inklusif bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus, maupun pelaksanaan pembelajaran reguler bagi anak usia sekolah yang tinggal di Rutan dan Pengungsian.
ABSTRACT
Indonesia has one of the world's cultural diversity. Indonesia's diversity like a double-edged knife. Besides as excellence, diversity leads to many conflicts. To prevent such conflicts occur, the necessary awareness of multicultural effective if implanted through education. Moreover, religion also has an important role in keeping the peace. Islamic religion has a concept of Islam Rahmatan li al-'âlamîn, the universal teachings of Islam which teaches followers to live peacefully side by side and keep the peace. Some Indonesian Islamic intellectuals spread the Islamic concept of universal with their own way. Among the leaders of the Indonesian Muslim scholars, universal Islam is most often expressed by Nurcholish Madjid. It can be concluded that in order to prevent conflicts, there are two approaches that can be used, ie, first, through insightful approach to multicultural education and secondly, through the approach of religion, especially Islam a universal sound. Therefore, the discourse of multicultural education in Islamic universalism frame for Indonesia's diverse nation it is very urgent to be addressed. The main characters look very forward view of multiculturalism and universalism of Islam, namely Nurcholish Madjid. This study will examine Nurcholish Madjid about thinking about the universalism of Islam then connect it with the principles of multicultural education so they will know that ideas Nurcholish Madjid Islamic universalism of the concept and implementation of multicultural education.This study uses kualititatif research approach to the type of library research or library research. Methods of data collection in this study is the method of documentation and analysis of the data in this study is a content analysis (content analysis).

Islamic universalism in view Nurcholish Madjid have the same 'spirit' with multicultural education. The same spirit is implied to the application of multicultural education as follows; (A) Award in diversity, manifested in; first, the diversity of languages, namely the use of regional languages, Indonesian, and foreign languages in the language of instruction in learning, everyday language in schools as well as the language of communication in education. Secondly, respect for the diversity of religions and beliefs, can be realized in praying together, exchange visits, activities, and cognitive approaches such as problem solving methods and case studies. Third, respect for ethnic diversity, can be realized through a narrative that multiethnic, analogy, and excursions. (B) Social Justice, embodied in education and justice and equal rights to education. It can be applied to the model of inclusive education for children with special needs, as well as the implementation of regular learning for school-age children living in detention centers and refugee camps. (C) Wisdom-Based Local Culture. The implication can be realized in various forms, first, in the form of the use of instructional media puppet show, angklung or ludruk. Second, in the curriculum, such as local content batik expertise, integration with subjects and extra-based local culture. (D) Investment attitude of 'Islam' as a basis for multicultural behavior. An important point which has apparently not yet been applied at planting multicultural attitude is consciousness 'Islam' (with 'i' minor) in individual behavior. attitude of 'Islam' which means Nurcholish means submission and surrender to God will bring the man no longer be the most righteous judge in the world, and appreciate diversity as a sunnatullah. Planting is also demanding resignation of man to uphold values of humanity, social justice and rejected the notion that he and his people are the most precious in the world. Planting attitude of 'Islam' is a powerful way of instilling the value of multicultural internal melelui individual. with planting attitude 'Islam', expected implementation of multicultural education will run more efficiently and on target.
