Rekonfigurasi massa bangunan Terminal Arjosari guna optimalisasi fungsi operasional

Terminal Arjosari, sebagai infrastruktur transportasi darat utama di Kota Malang, memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam mengakomodasi mobilitas penduduk baik didalam kota, keluar kota, keluar provinsi bahkan keluar pulau. Namun, kondisinya sangat memperihatinkan saat ini mulai dari fasilitas yang sudah tidak layak karena termakan waktu, terminal angkot yang terbengkalai karena tidak terintegrasi dengan terminal utama, serta penumpukan bis AKDP di pintu keluar utama yang disebabkan karena tata massa yang kurang nyaman bagi pengunjung untuk menggunakan Terminal Arjosari seutuhnya. Tugas Akhir ini merancang Terminal Arjosari dengan rekonfigurasi massa yang baru tanpa menambah dan mengurangi fungsi bangunan sebelumnya. Melalui pendekatan filosofis Arsitektur Nusantara dan didukung pendekatan praktis Arsitektur Neo-Vernakular. Dengan demikian, Terminal Arjosari yang baru ini diharapkan menjadi prototipe infrastruktur transportasi darat Tipe-A yang mampu memecahkan masalah pendahulunya, menjadi gerbang Kota Malang yang mengangkat lokalitas citra Arsitektur Khas Malangan, berorientasi pada perilaku dan kebutuhan pengguna, memiliki nilai-nilai islami, kesemestaan, keberlanjutan, hemat energi, ramah lingkungan.

Arjosari Terminal, as the main land transportation infrastructure in Malang City, has a very large role in accommodating the mobility of residents both within the city, out of town, out of province and even out of the island. However, its condition is very concerning at this time starting from facilities that are no longer feasible due to being eaten by time, the abandoned angkot terminal because it is not integrated with the main terminal, and the accumulation of AKDP buses at the main exit caused by the uncomfortable mass layout for visitors to use the Arjosari Terminal in its entirety. This Final Project designs the Arjosari Terminal with a new mass reconfiguration without adding or reducing the function of the previous building. Through the philosophical approach of Nusantara Architecture and supported by the practical approach of Neo Vernacular Architecture. Thus, the new Arjosari Terminal is expected to be a prototype of Type-A land transportation infrastructure that is able to solve the problems of its predecessors, becoming a gateway to Malang City that elevates the locality of the image of Typical Malangan Architecture, oriented towards user behavior and needs, has Islamic values, universality, sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmentally friendly.
