تصف رواية ”عين الصدمة“ للكاتب إبراهيم ابتسام تريسي عملية اكتساب اللغة العربية من قبل الشخصية الرئيسية التي تدعى ”إحياء“ في بيئة بيزانترين تطبق سياسة إلزامية للغة العربية والإنجليزية. يركز هذا البحث على كيفية التعبير عن شكل الصدمة وشكل الهوية الجندرية التي تظهرها الشخصية الرئيسية في الرواية وكيفية العلاقة بين الصدمة والهوية الجندرية. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل شكل التعبير عن الصدمة والهوية الجندرية استنادًا إلى نظرية الأداء الجندري لجوديث بتلر. يستخدم هذا البحث المنهج الكيفي مع المنهج الوصفي وتقنية تحليل المضمون. ويأتي مصدر البيانات الرئيسي من رواية ”عين الصدمة“ لإبراهيم ابتسام تريسي التي تم تحليلها استناداً إلى نظرية الأداء الجندري لجوديث بتلر. تم جمع البيانات باستخدام تقنيات القراءة وتدوين الملاحظات، وتحليلها من خلال مراحل اختزال البيانات، وعرض البيانات، واستخلاص النتائج. أظهرت النتائج أن هناك 10 أشكال للتعبير عن الصدمة في 4 مشاكل، وهي الطلاق، والرومانسية، والأسرة، والسياسة. بينما في شكل الهوية الجنسية هناك 14 شكلًا من أشكال الهوية الجنسية في شكل تصرفات، وطرق الملبس، والميول الجنسية المملوكة، والكلمات. يُظهر هذا البحث أن السياق الاجتماعي والتأثير الاجتماعي يؤثران بشكل كبير على الأفراد في تشكيل الهوية الجندرية التي يرغبون في التأكيد عليها.

The novel Ain Asy-Syams by Ibrahim Ibtisam Tracy describes the process of Arabic language acquisition by the main character named Ihya in a boarding school environment that implements a mandatory Arabic and English language policy. This research focuses on how the form of trauma expression and the form of gender identity shown by the main character in the novel and how the relationship between trauma and gender identity. This research aims to analyze the form of trauma expression and gender identity based on Judith Butler's gender performatig theory. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive approach and content analysis technique. The main data source comes from Ibrahim Ibtisam Tracy's Novel Ain Asy-Syams which is analyzed based on Judith Butler's gender performative theory. The data were collected using reading and note-taking techniques, and analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that there were 10 forms of trauma expression in 4 problems, namely divorce, romance, family, and politics. While in the form of gender identity there are 14 forms of gender identity in the form of actions, ways of dressing, sexual orientation owned, and words. This research shows that social context and social influence greatly influence individuals in shaping the gender identity they want to emphasize.

Novel Ain Asy-Syams karya Ibrahim Ibtisam Tracy menggambarkan proses pemerolehan bahasa Arab oleh tokoh utama bernama Ihya dalam lingkungan pesantren yang menerapkan kebijakan wajib berbahasa Arab dan Inggris. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana bentuk ekspresi trauma dan bentuk identitas gender yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh utama dalam novel serta bagaimana hubungan antara trauma dengan identitas gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk ekspresi trauma dan identitas gender berdasarkan teori performatig gender Judith Butler. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Sumber data utama berasal dari Novel Ain Asy-Syams karya Ibrahim Ibtisam Tracy yang dianalisis berdasarkan teori performatif gender Judith Butler. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik baca, dan catat, serta dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 bentuk ekspresi trauma dalam 4 permasalahan yakni perceraian, percintaan, keluarga, dan juga politik. Sedangkan pada bentuk identitas gender terdapat 14 bentuk identitas gender berupa perbuatan, cara berpakaian, orientasi seksual yang dimiliki, dan perkataan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konteks sosial dan pengaruh sosial sangat mempengaruhi individu dalam membentuk identitas gender yang ingin ia tonjolkan.
