Abstract
INDONESIA:
Berdasarkan hasil observasi di kelas III MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang, bahwa pembelajaaran yang dilakukan guru dalam proses belajar mengajar Bahasa Indonesia selama ini cenderung menggunakan metode konvensional (ceramah). Disamping itu, guru tidak memanfaatkan media pembelajaran dan hanya mengacu pada buku paket, sehingga dirasakan masih kurang menciptakan suasana kondusif dan siswa terkesan pasif. Selain itu, juga terdapat faktor lain yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan menulis karangan pada siswa kelas III di MI Mambaul Ulum, diantaranya karena siswa kurang memahami ejaan-ejaan yang disempurnakan (EYD) dan penggunaan tanda baca.
Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan melalui penerapan media gambar berseri pada siswa kelas III MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang, (2) untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan melalui penerapan media gambar berseri pada siswa kelas III MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang, dan (3) untuk mendeskripsikan hasil peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan melalui penerapan media gambar berseri pada siswa kelas III MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang.
Dalam penelitian ini, desain yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dengan empat tahapan yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan, dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 siklus, setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah semua siswa-siswi kelas III MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Dalam mengumpulkan data peneliti menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data yang digunakan peneliti adalah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media gambar berseri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan pada siswa kelas III MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari hasil setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan. Pada hasil akhir dari keberhasilan penerapan media gambar berseri menunjukkan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan siswa kelas III sebesar 87,09%. Prosentase ketuntasan tersebut telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal secara klasikal yang ditetapkan yaitu sebesar 70%.
ENGLISH:
Based on observations in third grade of MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang, the studying that is done by the teachers in process of teaching and learning Indonesian is still using conventional methods and giving directly assignment tasks for students. In addition, teachers do not use the media in learning and only based on textbooks, so it still felt lacking creating conducive atmosphere and the students seem passive. Beside that, there are also other factors that affect the low ability to write essays in third grade in MI Mambaul Ulum, such as students' lack of understanding spellings enhanced (EYD) and the use of punctuation.
The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the planning essay writing skills improvement through the application of media serial images Elementary School student in third grade of Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang, (2) to describe the implementation of an increaseing in essay writing skills through the application of media serial images in third grade student of Madrasah Elementary Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang, and (3) to describe the result of an increaseing in essay writing skills through the application of media serial images Elementary School students in third grade,Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang.
In this study, the design that is used was Classroom Action Research conducted by four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This study was conducted for 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The subjects were all students of third grade students in MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang in second semester of academic year 2013/2014. In collecting the data, the researcher used the method of observation, interview, and documentation. while,tha data analysis that is used by the researcher is qualitative data and quantitative data.
The results of this study indicated that by applying serial image media can increase the ability of students to write essays in third grade students of MI Mambaul Ulum Tirtomoyo Pakis Malang. It can be seen by knowing that increasing of each cycle. The last result of application of serial image media indicates average value for all of students in third grade is 87,09%. The percentage of completeness has achieved criteria of minimal completeness according to classical that is definite about 70%.
