Abstract
INDONESIA:
Segmentasi adalah proses pengolahan citra untuk membagi citra menjadi wilayah-wilayah yang homogen berdasarkan keserupaan yang tertentu antara tingkat keabuan piksel dengan tingkat keabuan piksel tetangganya.
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai segmentasi foramen mentale pada citra dental panoramic radiograph dengan menggunakan metode mathematical morphological edge detection dan watershed. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah dapat mensegmentasi foramen mentale pada citra dental panoramic radiograph dengan menggunakan metode mathematical morphological edge detection dan watershed dan mengukur performa hasil segmentasi objek foramen mentale dengan menggunakan metode mathematical morphological edge detection dan watershed. Aplikasi dibangun menggunakan bahasa Java sebagai bahasa pemrograman, Netbeans 7.0.1 dan Matlab R2008a sebagai platform.
Uji coba dilakukan dengan menggunakan 20 data ujicoba yang telah dicropping manual. Hasil dari 20 uji coba didapatkan tingkat akurasi sebesar 5.22%, tingkat presisi sebesar 44.41% dan recall sebesar 3.20%.

Segmentation is the process of image processing to divide the image into homogeneous regions based on certain similarities between the gray level of pixels with gray levels of neighboring pixels.
This research discusses about the segmentation image of the foramen mentale on dental panoramic radiographs using mathematical morphological edge detection and watershed. The Goal of this research is to segment the image of foramen mentale using mathematical morphological edge detection and watershed and to measure the performance of the segmentation using the method. Applications built using the Java language as a programming language, and matlab 7.0.1 and R2008a Netbeans as a platform.
The trial is using 20 datas that been manually cropping. Results of 20 trials obtained an accuracy rate of 5.22%, precision rate of 44.41%, and recall 3.20%.
