Analisis faktor penentuan golongan UKT di UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang menggunakan regresi probit ordinal

Regresi probit ordinal merupakan sebuah metode untuk menganalisa keterkaitan antara variabel respon yang terdiri dari nilai-nilai diskrit dalam skala ordinal, dan variabel prediktor yang mencakup beragam jenis variabel, baik kontinu maupun diskrit, atau gabungan keduanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun model regresi probit ordinal dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang paling berpengaruh dalam penentuan golongan UKT di UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Langkah-langkah analisis meliputi uji independensi, uji multikolinearitas, estimasi parameter, pengujian parameter, pemodelan regresi probit ordinal, uji kesesuaian model, perhitungan ketepatan klasifikasi dan efek marginal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan variabel (X_1) dan (X_2) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penentuan golongan UKT yang diperoleh mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan probabilitas terhadap masing-masing kategori, diketahui bahwa probabilitas tertinggi Y=1 untuk masuk UKT sangat rendah terjadi ketika ayah dan ibu tidak memiliki penghasilan. Pada kategori Y=2, probabilitas tertinggi terjadi ketika ayah memiliki penghasilan kurang dari Rp.1.000.000 dan ibu tidak memiliki penghasilan. Kategori Y=3 probabilitas tertinggi untuk kategori ini saat ayah tidak memiliki penghasilan dan ibu memiliki penghasilan kurang dari Rp.1.000.000. Probabilitas tertinggi pada kategori Y=4 ditemukan saat ayah memiliki penghasilan iRp.1.000.000-Rp.3.000.000 dan ibu memiliki penghasilan kurang dari Rp.1.000.000. Kategori Y=5 tertinggi ini sangat didominasi oleh kombinasi penghasilan ayah lebih dari Rp 3.000.000 dan ibu kurang dari Rp.1.000.000. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil perhitungan efek marginal dapat diketahui bahwa variabel penghasilan ayah lebih dari Rp 3.000.000 (X_(1(3))) adalah faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penentuan golongan UKT mahasiswa.

Ordinal probit regression is a method for analyzing the relationship between a response variable consisting of discrete values on an ordinal scale and predictor variables that include various types of variables, both continuous and discrete, or a combination of both. This study aims to develop an ordinal probit regression model and analyze the most influential factors in determining UKT categories at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The analysis steps include independence tests, multicollinearity tests, parameter estimation, parameter testing, ordinal probit regression modeling, model fit tests, classification accuracy calculations, and marginal effects. The results of this study indicate that variables (X_1) and (X₂) significantly influence the determination of the UKT category obtained by students. Based on the probability calculations for each category, it was found that the highest probability of Y=1 for entering UKT is very low when both parents have no income. In category Y=2, the highest probability occurs when the father has an income of less than Rp.1.000.000 and the mother has no income. The highest probability for category Y=3 occurs when the father has no income and the mother has an income of less than Rp.1.000.000. The highest probability for category Y=4 is found when the father has an income of Rp.1.000.000–Rp.3.000.000 and the mother has an income of less than Rp.1.000.000. Category Y=5 is dominated by the combination of the father having an income of more than Rp.3.000.000 and the mother having an income of less than Rp.1.000.000. Additionally, based on the results of the marginal effect calculation, it can be determined that the variable of the father's income exceeding Rp.3.000.000 (X_(1(3))) is the most influential factor in determining the UKT category for students.
