Peningkatan kualitas citra dental panoramic radiograph pada tulang mandibula dengan menggunakan histogram modification framework

Peningkatan kualitas citra memainkan peran penting dalam proses pengolahan citra. Agar citra yang mengalami gangguan dapat mudah diinterpretasikan dengan baik oleh manusia ataupun mesin, maka citra tersebut perlu ditingkatkan kuali- tasnya. Pada penelitian ini, peningkatan kualitas citra digunakan untuk citra radiografi panoramik gigi (dental panoramic radiograph). Radiografi gigi, khususnya panorama gambar, telah digunakan untuk memprediksi pasien dengan densitas massa tulang rendah. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Histogram Modification Framework. Terdapat beberapa tahapan dalam metode ini, antara lain Adjustable Histogram Equalization, Histogram Smoothing, Weighted Histogram Approximation, dan Black and White Stretching. Untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan metode yang diajukan, dilakukan proses segmentasi dengan menggunakan metode watershed. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Histogram modification framework dapat digunakan sebagai metode untuk meningkatkan kualitas citra dental panoramic radiograph pada tulang mandibula. Uji coba dilakukan dengan parameter nilai λ = 1000, γ = 1, dan α = 3. Akurasi citra setelah diproses dengan metode sebesar 62,01%. Presisi citra setelah menggunakan metode sebesar 70,59%. Recall citra dengan metode sebesar 51,3%.

Image enhancement plays an important role in image processing. So that the image can be easily disturbed with the interpreted either by human or machine, then the image needs to be improved. In this study, an increase in the quality of the image is used to image the dental panoramic radiographs (dental panoramic radiograph). Dental radiographs, especially panoramic images, has been used to predict which patients with low bone mass density. The method used in this study is the Histogram Modification Framework. There are several stages in this method, among others, Adjustable Histogram Equalization, Histogram Smooth- ing, Histogram Weighted Approximation, and Black and White Stretching. To measure the level of success of the proposed method, the segmentation process is carried out using the watershed method. Based on trial results, it can be concluded that the method of histogram modification framework can be used as a method for improving image quality dental panoramic radiograph at the mandible bone. The test is done with the parameter value λ = 1000 , γ = 1 , and α = 3.
