#NOPUBLISH 10/2/2025# Pembuatan sediaan lip balm dengan modifikasi penambahan virgin coconut oil (VCO) dan ekstrak umbi bit (Beta vulgaris L.)

ABSTRAK:

Kosmetik merupakan sediaan bahan yang digunakan pada permukaan luar tubuh dengan cara dioleskan, disemprotkan, atau digosokkan. Salah satu kosmetik yang digunakan adalah lip balm. Lip balm merupakan produk kosmetik yang digunakan untuk melembabkan bibir agar tidak mudah kering dan pecah. Formulasi pembuatan lip balm ini menggunakan penambahan virgin coconut oil dan ekstrak umbi bit yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa virgin coconut oil dengan ekstrak umbi bit yang memiliki perbedaan konsentrasi dapat digabungkan untuk menghasilkan produk kosmetik yang baik.
Metode yang digunakan untuk ekstraksi adalah metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96% dan penambahan 1% asam askorbat. Sediaan lip balm yang dibuat memiliki variasi konsentrasi virgin coconut oil dan ekstrak umbi bit pada setiap formulasi, F0 (0% VCO, 0% ekstrak), F1 (3% VCO, 5% ekstrak), F2 (5% VCO, 10% ekstrak), serta F3 (7% VCO, 15% ekstrak). Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan menggunakan metode DPPH (2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil), uji SPF secara in vitro, uji stabilitas meliputi uji homogenitas dan uji organoleptik, uji hedonik, serta analisis gugus fungsi menggunakan FTIR-ATR pada sediaan lip balm terbaik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formulasi F3 memiliki persentase aktivitas antioksidan dan SPF terbaik, dengan nilai persentase aktivitas antioksidan sebesar 14,74% hingga 22,92% dan nilai SPF sebesar 6,83. Keempat formulasi lip balm stabil selama 28 hari pengamatan. Analisis gugus fungsi pada sediaan lip balm F3 menunjukkan adanya komposisi lip balm, Namun, tidak ditemukan serapan gugus (C=N), yang merupakan gugus khas betalain pada umbi bit, diduga disebabkan oleh degradasi senyawa akibat proses pemanasan.

ABSTRACT:

Cosmetics are preparations of ingredients that are used on the outer surface of the body by applying, spraying, or rubbing. One of the cosmetics used is lip balm. Lip balm is a cosmetic product used to moisturize the lips so that they do not dry out and break easily. The formulation for making this lip balm uses the addition of virgin coconut oil and beet root extract which functions as an antioxidant. This study aims to find out that virgin coconut oil with beet root extract which has different concentrations can be combined to produce good cosmetic products.
The method used for extraction is the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent and the addition of 1% ascorbic acid. The lip balm preparations made have variations in the concentration of virgin coconut oil and beet root extract in each formulation, F0 (0% VCO, 0% extract), F1 (3% VCO,
5% extract), F2 (5% VCO, 10% extract), and F3 (7% VCO, 15% extract). Antioxidant activity testing was carried out using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazile) method, in vitro SPF test, stability test including homogeneity test and organoleptic test, hedonic test, and functional group analysis using FTIR-ATR on the best lip balm preparation.
The results showed that the F3 formulation had the best percentage of antioxidant activity and SPF, with a percentage value of antioxidant activity of 14.74% to 22.92% and SPF value of 6.83. All four lip balm formulations were stable for 28 days of observation. The analysis of the functional group in the F3 lip balm preparation showed the presence of lip balm composition, however, no absorption of the group (C=N), which is a betalain group in beet tubers, is suspected to be caused by the degradation of compounds due to the heating process.

مئوية للنشاط املضاد لألكسدة من ٪14.74 إىل ٪22.92 وقيمة 6.83 SPF. كانت مجيع تركيبات مرطب الش فاه األربعة مستقرة ملدة 28
يوما من املراقبة. أظهر حتليل اجملموعة الوظيفية يف مستحضر مرطب الشفاه 3F وجود تركيبة مرطب الشفاه ، ومع ذلك ، مل يشتبه يف امتصاص
