Abstract
INDONESIA:
Malaria merupakan penyakit inveksi yang disebabkan oleh parasit Plasmodium falcifarum yang ditularkan pada manusia. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensi ekstrak kasar etanol dan fraksi n-heksana tanaman Rumput Bambu (Lophaterum Gracile B.) sebagai antimalaria pada parasit Plasmodium falciparum Strain 3D7. Parasit yang digunakan mempunyai sifat sensitif terhadap klorokuin.
Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan adalah ekstraksi maserasi. Pelarut yang digunakan etanol 80 %, fraksinasi n-heksana. Ekstrak etanol dan fraksi n-heksana diuji fitokimia dan dilakukan uji aktivitas antimalaria terhadap parasit Plasmodium falciparum Strain 3D7. Selanjutnya, Identifikasi pada fraksi n-heksana menggunakan instrument Liquid Chromatograpy – Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS).
Berdasarkan uji fitokimia ekstrak kasar etanol dan fraksi rumput bambu mengandung senyawa triterpenoid, steroid dan tanin. Uji aktivitas antimalaria ekstrak kasar etanol pada konsentrasi 1-10 μg/mL mampu menghambat pertumbuhan parasit sebesar 23,90-39,49 %, dan fraksi n-heksana pada konsentrasi 1-10 μg/mL mampu menghambat pertumbuhan parasit sebesar 15,69-25,95%. Sehingga diperoleh nilai IC50 ekstrak kasar etanol dan fraksi n-heksana tanaman Rumput Bambu (Lopatherum gracile B) sebesar 12,49 µg/mL dan 61,49 µg/mL. Hasil uji fraksi n-heksana menggunankan LC-MS diduga senyawa mengandung Steroid dan Tanin.
ENGLISH:
Malaria is an infectious disease by parasite Plasmodium falciparum, which is transmitted to humans. This study was conducted to identification potential of ethanol crude extract and n-hexane fraction bamboo grass (Lophaterum gracile B.) as an antimalarial parasite Plasmodium falciparum Strain 3D7. Fraction of n-hexana which instrument Liquid Chromatograpy – Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS).
Extration metod is maxeration. Result of extraction maseration 80% ethanol and partitioned with n-hexana tested phytochemical and test antimalarial activity in Plasmodium falciparum strain 3D7. Next, identification n-hexane fraction used instruments Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS).
Based on the results of a test of phytochemical extract and faction of grass bamboo the compound containing Triterpenoid, Steroid and tannin. Test antimalarial activity of extract ethanol at a concentration of 1-10 mg / mL could inhibit parasite growth of 23.90 to 39.49%, and the fraction of n-hexane at a concentration of 1-10 mg / mL could inhibit parasite growth of 15.69 to 25.95%. IC50 values of extract ethanol and fraction n-hexane bamboo grass (Lopatherum gracile B) of 12.49 mg / mL and 61.49 mg / mL. The results identification fraction n-hexana which instrument Liquid Chromatograpy – Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS) there are compound Steroid and Tannin.
