Abstract
INDONESIA:
Para pakar pendidikan pada umunya sependapat tentang pentingya upaya peningkatan pendidikan karakter pada jalur pendidikan formal.Namun demikian, ada perbedaan-perbedaan pendapat diantara mereka tentang pendekatan dan modus pendidikannya. Sebagian pakar menyarankan menggunakan pendekatan-pendekatan pendidikan moral di Negara-negara barat, sebagain lagi menyarankan pendidikan tradisional dengan penanaman nilai-nilai sosial dalam diri siswa Karakter mencintai budaya nasional adalah salah satu dari 18 karakter yang harus ditanamkan pada diri siswa. Rasa cinta terhadap budaya nasional dapat ditanamkan kepada anak sejak usia dini agar dapat menjadi manusia yang dapat menghargai budaya peninggalan nenek moyang kita.
Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1)upaya guru IPS dalam menanamkan karakter mencintai budaya nasional di MTs Negeri Sumberejo Blitar, dan (2)mendeskripsikan kendala-kendala apa saja yang ditemui dalam proses penanaman karakter mencintai budaya nasional.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, peneliti bertindak langsung sebagai instrument penelitian. Adapun lokasi penelitian yang digunakan adalah di MTs Negeri Sumberejo Blitar.Data dalam penelitian ini yakni data primer dan sekunder.Teknik pengumpulan data yakni dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.Analisis data melalui tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data.Peneliti juga menggunakan triangulasi data dalam analisis data kualitatif.
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) upaya guru IPS dalam menanamkan karakter mencintai budaya nasional di MTs Negeri Sumberejo Blitar yakni dengan membuat RPP yang sudah terintegrasi dengan pendidikan karakter, memperkenalkan budaya Indonesia ketika jam pelajaran berlangsung contohnyabudaya batik guru IPS menjelaskan apa itu batik hingga mempraktekkan cara pembuatannya,mengajak siswa menyanyikan lagu daerah dan nasional. (2) kendala yang dihadapi saat proses menanamkan karakter mencintai budaya nasional di MTs Negeri Sumberejo Blitar media pembelajaran yang belum lengkap sehingga guru sulit dalam menjelaskan materi hingga menanamkan karakter mencintai budaya nasional dengan media pembelajaran di Sekolah, ketika pembelajaran berlangsung juga terkendala dengan siswa yang terkadang ramai saat pelajaran IPS, daya tangkap siswa berbeda-beda terhadap pembelajaran khususnya pembelajaran IPS, kurangnya kerja sama dengan orang tua siswa.

Generally, Education experts agree about the importance of improving the character education in formal education. However, there are differences of opinion among them on the approach and mode of education. Some experts suggest by using the approaches of moral education in western countries, some are suggesting traditional education with the planting of social values building character of National culture love is one of 18 characters to be instilled in students. A love of the national culture can be imparted to children from an early age in order to become a man who can appreciate the cultural heritage of our ancestors. Many ways to make us in loving our nation culture more This research aimed to describe (1) the efforts of IPS teacher in instilling national cultural loved characters in MTsN Sumberejo Blitar, and (2) the obstacles encountered in the process of instilling national cultural loved characters.
This research was a qualitative descriptive approach, researcher was as an instrument of research. the location of the research was at MTsN Sumberejo Blitar. The data in this study were the primary and secondary data. data collection techniques were by observation, interview and documentation. Analysis of data through was three stages: data reduction, data presentation and verification of data. The researcher also used data triangulation in qualitative data analysis.
The results of the research showed that: (1) ) the efforts of IPS teacher in instilling national cultural loved characters in MTsN Sumberejo Blitar created lesson plans that had been integrated with character education, introduced Indonesian culture when the hour lessons taken place, for example batik culture, social studies teacher explained what is batik and how to produce it, invited students to sing folk songs and national. (2) obstacles that was encountered during the process of instilling national cultural loved characters at MTsN Sumberejo Blitar was lack of learning media so that the teacher was difficult to explain the material to instill national cultural loved characters with learning media in the school, and the students who sometimes crowded during social studies learning, also the different student grasp toward learning, especially learning social science, and lack of cooperation with the parents or guardians of students.
