Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh serangkaian fenomena dekadensi moral terhadap lingkungan yang menyebabkan terjadinya bencana alam. Hal tersebut membawa dampak pada kualitas hidup manusia itu sendiri. Oleh sebab itu, pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam menjadi sangat penting adanya untuk merubah pola pikir dan perilaku manusia terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) program pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan di SMP Negeri 10 dan SMP Negeri 22 Malang, (2) proses pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 10 dan SMP Negeri 22 Malang, (3) dampak pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap kepedulian lingkungan siswa di SMP Negeri 10 dan SMP Negeri 22 Malang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi multisitus. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan tiga kriteria, yaitu derajat kepercayaan, kebergantungan, dan kepastian.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) program pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan meliputi kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan, program pembinaan dan ekstrakurikuler, dan pengembangan budaya sekolah; (2) proses pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam dilakukan di dalam maupun di luar kelas melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu tahap penanaman, tahap penumbuhan, dan tahap pemantapan; (3) dampak pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap kepedulian lingkungan siswa dilihat dari tiga aspek. Secara kognitif, siswa mengetahui akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Secara afektif, adanya kesadaran siswa untuk tidak membuang sampah sembarangan dan merawat tanaman agar tidak layu. Di sisi lain, masih ada beberapa siswa yang kurang sadar dalam hal penggunaan air. Secara psikomotorik, siswa mengambil sampah yang berserakan, menyiram tanaman, siswa tidak menyalakan lampu kecuali saat cuaca mendung dan menyalakan LCD saat diperlukan, siswa menghapus papan tulis setelah pembelajaran tanpa menunggu perintah dari guru, akan tetapi masih ada beberapa siswa yang bermain air di wastafel depan kelas.

This research was triggered by a series of phenomenon of moral decadence toward the environment which caused natural disasters. It affected the quality of human’s life. Therefore, environmental care-character building through Islamic education is crucial to change the mindset and behavior of humans on the environment. This research aimed to analyze (1) the environmental care-character building program in SMP Negeri 10 and SMP Negeri 22 Malang, (2) the process of environmental care-character building through Islamic education in SMP Negeri 10 and SMP Negeri 22 Malang, and (3) the impact of environmental care- character building through Islamic education on the environmental awareness of students in SMP Negeri 10 and SMP Negeri 22 Malang.
This research applied qualitative approach using multi-site study design. The data collection techniques were in-depth interview, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis was performed through the analysis of individual sites, followed by site traffic analysis. The analysis techniques were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawing. The data validity checking was performed based on the three criteria namely the degree of trust, dependability, and confirmability.
The research result indicate that (1) environmental care-character building program covers environmentally sound school policy, training programs, extracurricular activities, and school culture development; (2) the process of environmental care-character building through Islamic education conducted inside and outside of the classroom through several stages, namely the stage of planting, growing, and stabilizing; , and (3) the impact of environmental care-character building through Islamic education on the students’ environmental awareness based on three aspects. Cognitively, students know the importance of preserving the environment. In affective aspect, students are aware not to litter and take care of the plants for preventing it from wilting. On the other hand, some students are still less aware of water usage. In psychomotor aspect, students pick the scattered garbage, water the plants, do not turn the lights unless it is cloudy and turn the LCD on when needed, students erase the writing on the board after the class ends without waiting for orders from the teachers, but some students still play with the water in the sink located in front of the class.
