Abstract
ABSTRACT
Generally, eroticism has a relationship with sexuality matter. Eroticism on KBBI has defined as 1) the situation where human desire is come up. 2) wish about sexual desire continuely. Eroticism is different from pornography. From etimology, eroticism came from ancient greek word. ،، Eros ” means ،، the name of God of love, and pornography came from the same language that is ،، pome ،، means ،، whore or prostitute “ and ،، graphein ،، means ،، write ،،. In eroticism, libido or desire is more important. Eroticism exist on each part of live. Even so with the existention of eroticism on literary work especially popular novel.
Popular novel is a novel which the theme, way of present, technique, language, and style are imitate the general patern which is loved by the reader community. On the effort to get the reader, popular novel try to expose sex and crime element. The relationship between popular novel will be discussed based on intrinsic element of novel.
The researcher wants to describe the relationship between eroticism and intrinsic element (plot, character, setting, and style). This research is use descriptive qualitative method which can result written words from novel. And data sources used in the form of language explanation in novel ،، Hotel Halekulani
Based on the result of the discussion of novel ،، Hotel Halekulani ،، that is the description of eroticism on intrinsic element. So, it can make a conclusion that eroticism which is exist on novel “ Hotel Halekulani ،، is more dominated by physical erotic that is erotic which is focus on the stimulus that can cause sexual organs and followed by enjoyment. Besides, erotic existention is still influenced by a wish to fulfill biological need only and it influenced by love feeling but just slightly.
