Abstract
ABSTRACT
The selection of Islamic songs for children as the main discussion of this study is based on the argument that recently many songs raise and their existence is not quite useful especially for young children. Thus, this object is interested enough to research.
Besides that, Islamic songs for children really contain educational values. To make the research easier, the researcher only took 25 songs for children taken from different cassettes that were selected randomly. These cassettes were (1) ،،25 Nabi” composed by Djohn Dayat, et. al., of 8 songs (2) ،،24 Lagu Pop Anak-Anak Muslim, composed by Djoko Santoso Ilape as 7 songs and (3) Nyanyian Anak- Anak Muslim, composed by Kris Budiharjo, et. al., (10 songs).
This research aimed to describe educational values in Islamic songs for children which involve values of Islamic history, educational values of laws of Allah (fiqh), educational values of Oneness of Allah (tauhid) and educational values of morality (akhlaq). Specifically, this research aimed to find out what were educational values in Islamic history, laws of Allah (fiqli) faith (oneness of Allah) and in educational values of morality (akhlaq} in the Islamic songs for children. These problems will be answered in this research.
This research used descriptive-qualitative framework by psychology of education approach. The researcher tried to find out the related literature then she constructed the instrument needed, and then she discussed the data by using the techniques fixed.
Finally, the result of the discussion can be concluded that in the lyrics of Islamic songs for children, there are some kinds of educational values which involve (1) the educational values of Islamic history about the names of prophets, (2) educational values of law of Allah involves, pillars of Islam, pillars of prayer, pillars of fasting, and pillars of ritual ablution before prayers (wudhu\ (3) educational values of faith involves, defining oneness Allah, and pillars of faith, (4) educational values in the form of morality involves the teaching of obedience to Allah, the command to obey the parents and teachers, to utilize time well, and keeping social intercourse, and good idealism.
Most of these educational values are presented in the songs directly and intrinsically. It is intended that the children as its main object, parents, teachers, and so on will easily understand the songs.
