Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pesantren merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan non formal yang memfokuskan pendidikannya pada bidang spiritual. Dengan kehidupan yang unik, pesantren memiliki santri yang heterogen dari segi latar belakang pendidikan, budaya, keluarga, usia, motivasi masuk pesantren dan lain-lainnya sehingga menimbulkan problem di pondok pesantren. Salah satunya adalah pelanggaran terhadap peraturan di pondok pesantren oleh para santri meskipun telah diterapkan suatu sistem hukuman untuk mencegah dan mengurangi frekwensi pelanggaran.
Bertolak dari permasalahan di atas, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan hukuman dan dampaknya terhadap kepribadian santri sebagai pihak penerima hukuman. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif sehingga hanya memaparkan kondisi di lapangan tanpa mencari hubungan antar variabel penelitian. Sedangkan subyek penelitiannya adalah santri yang pernah menerima hukuman dan bermukim di Pondok Pesantren Putri 11 Al-Amien. Data yang diperoleh adalah kata-kata dan tindakan informan yang diperoleh dari sumber data antara melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara terarah dan dokumentasi, sedangkan sumber sekunder berupa data tertulis dari lembaga pondok pesantren. Untuk mendapatkannya peneliti yang bertindak sebagai instrumen utama mempergunakan alat bantu berupa alat tulis. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan ketekunan pengamatan, triangulasi dan pengecekan anggota dan analisa datanya dilakukan dengan menggunakan proses berfikir induktif.
Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa penerapan hukuman bertujuan untuk mendisiplinkan, mendidik dan membiasakan santri hidup teratur. Bentuk hukuman yang diterapkan sebagian besar bersifat edukatif berupa menghafal vocabulary, dan menghafal surat-surat Al-Qur'an yang dapat menambah hafalan santri, hukuman bersifat tidak edukatif yang berkenaan dengan fisik santri. Sedangkan faktor yang mempengaruhi sikap santri terhadap hukuman adalah jenis hukuman yang diterapkan dan sikap penghukum yang dirasakan kurang positif.
Penerapan hukuman di pondok pesantren putri II AkAmien menimbulkan dampak terhadap kepribadian santri. Adapun dampak penerapan hukuman yang bersifat edukatif menimbulkan dampak positif terhadap kepribadian santri karena sebagian besar santri dapat menghentikan perilaku melanggar, mendisiplinkan diri dan belajar hidup teratur. Sedangkan dampak yang ditimbulkan dari penerapan hukuman bersifat tidak edukatif adalah dampak negatif meliputi efek psikologis dan sosial dalam kehidupan santri sehari-hari.
ABSTRACT
Islamic boarding house is one of informal education institutes that focus on spiritual realm, beside the unique of living, islamic boarding house has heterogen students from many aspects such as education background, culture, family, age, motivation to study and others. Those appear many problems in it. One of problem is violation of rules which are done by student. Although any a system to prevent and decrease violation frequency.
After looking at the problem, the researcher can say that the purpose of research is to describe punishement application and the impact toward student personality as the object of punishement receiver. The researcher uses descriptive and qualitative research that only point out the condition in the field work without looking for Relationship among research variabel. Where as the subject of research is students had received the punishment and still stay in Putri II Al-Amien Islamic Boarding House. The researcher got data from observations, interviews and documentation books, beside that the researcher uses secondary scurce that is written data from institute, mentioned and also researcher uses a help devices namely instrument of writes as primary instrument. In other hand the researcher has a role as primary instrument to get data. The researcher uses detailed examination, triangulation, check of mamber and also researcher uses inductive process to examine data.
After researcher knew the purpose of punishment application, the researcher can conclude that a purpose of punishmet application is for discipline, educate and accustom student to live regularly. Most of punishment form are educative punishmet for instance memorizing vocabulary and memorizing the holy Quran verses as well as a negative punishment (non-educative) which has relation with student’s physic in addition, there are factors which influence student behaviour for example student attitude toward kinds of punishment application and negative attitude from who gives a punishment (gudge).
At last, the punishment application in Putri II Al-Amien Islamic Boarding House appears impact to student personality. The impact or implication of punishmet application aducatively can cause positive influences to student personality. It is caused most of students can stop to violate a rule, more discipline and begin learning to live regularly in other hand, there are negative impacts from punishment application such as psichology effects and the student social live.
