Abstract
ABSTRAK
Bahasa Arab merupakan bahasa yang penting untuk dipelajari bagi umat Islam, karena merupakan bahasa Al-Qur’an dan Hadits. Prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab yang tinggi dapat diperoleh siswa, dengan memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang baik. Dengan kecerdasan emosional yang baik siswa akan mampu mengatasi segala kesulitan dan hambatannya dalam belajar baik yang bersifat pribadi maupun hubungan sosial. Selain itu kecerdasan emosional menumbuhkan optimisme yang membuat siswa tidak mudah putus asa, sehingga siswa akan terus berusaha untuk mendapatkan prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab yang memuaskan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas 11 MAN 3 Malang.
Sampel penelitian sebanyak 54 subyek, sedangkan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket sebagai pengumpul data kecerdasan emosional,dan dokumentasi sebagai pengumpul data prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab. Pengujian validitas item dan faktor pada angket digunakan korelasi skor item dengan skor total. Untuk mencari korelasi antara kedua variabel penelitian digunakan korelasi Product Moment dari Pearson, dan semua analisis baik validitas, reliabilitas dan korelasi menggunakan bantuan komputer program SPSS release 6.0.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh bahwa, siswa kelas 11 MAN 3 Malang memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosional tinggi sebanyak 16%, sedang 66% dan rendah 16%. Pada prestasi belajar Bahasa Arabnya, 6% sangat baik, 44% baik dan 50% tnemiliki prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab yang cukup. Berdasarkan uji korelasi didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab. Hasil korelasi diperoleh 0,4236 dengan probabilitas 0,001. Hal itu membuktikan adanya hubungan positif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab.
ABSTRACT
Arabic is an important language to be studied by Moslems, because it is Qoran’s and Hadits’s language. A high achievement of studying Arabic can be achieved by student by having a good emosional quotient. By having a good emotional quotient, student will be able to overcome all of their difficulties and obstacles in studying whether individually or socially. Beside that, emotional quotient produces an optimistic which makes students not to be irrecoverable, therefore student will attemp continuously to gain satisfaying achievement of studying Arabic. This research aims to know the correlation between emotional quotient and achievement of studying Arabic of second year students of Islamic State Senior High School 3 of Malang.
This research took 54 subjects as sample, whereas the method of collecting data which was used was questionnaires as data collecting of emotional quotient and documentation as data collecting of achievement of studying Arabic. The test of validity item and factor in questionnaires were used item score correlation with total score. To find the correlation between both of research varieable was used “Product Moment" correlation from “Pearson", and all of analysis of validity, reliability and correlation used computer program of SPSS release 6.0.
Based on the result of research and discussion , the researcher concluded that،, student of second year of Islamic State Senior High School 3 of Malang had high emotional quotient level as 16% medium level as 66% and low level as 16%. For achievement of studying Arabic, 6% for very good grade, 44% good grade and 50% had enough grade for achievement of studying Arabic. Based on the examination of correlation, the researcher concluded that there was a correlation between emotional quotient and achievement of studying Arabic. The researcher got the correlation as 0,4236 with 0,001 probability. It proved that there was a positive correlation between emotional quotient with achievement of studying Arabic.
