Respon Mahasiswa Fakultas Syari'ah Universitas Islam Negeri Malang terhadap Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga: Studi kasus Perspektif Gender

ABSTRAK

Marriage is a bound between male and female spiritually and materially as a couple husband and wife to create happy and eternal family based on believe on God. It is need to reobserve and reflect some cases of violence within household, the data of violence within household is growing up per year. As it is noted by 43 women organization in 14 provinces at 2004. the data of violence within household are: violence towards wife 1.782 cases, violence towards daughter 251 cases, violence towards servant 71 cases and 28 cases in economic affairs. The data of KDRT from ministry of women emancipation, in the beginning 2004 shows 5.934 cases violence toward women, 2.025 cases or 75% are categorized as violence within family, not only intensive and responsive in stitutions which responsible to KDRT affairs but also all of people must be responsible and respond about the violence within household

The research tries to investigate students response of Islamic Law Faculty of the State Islamic University of Malang toward KDRT. Research problem in this thesis are 1) How do student of Islamic Law Faculty see KDRT? 2) How do student of Islamic Law Faculty respond KDRT? The limitation of the problem is KDRT to wife. The objective of the research is to know students perception and response of Islamic Law Faculty towards KDRT. The research method is quantitative and qualitative by taking sample from ninth semester student of Islamic Law Faculty, collecting data by using quistionnaire and interview. The technique of analyzing data is by using descriptive qualitative and quantitative for qualitative data is by using telling, interpreting the words and sentences to get conclusion, while quantitative data by using procentage pattern.

The result of research shows studeds response and perception of Islamic Law Faculty of the State Islamic University of Malang is positive, although there is difference perception and response toward KDRT affairs : yet those differences do not influence among students the research also shows similar perception and response of students towards KDRT is more dominant than difference.
