A study on the Islamic short stories ketika mas gagah pergi by Helvy Teana Rosa

ABSTRACT

Presently, many novelists claimed that they are Islamic novelists and Mite Islamic novels. There is a novelist who always writes Islamic novels. She is Helvy Teana Rosa. She claims that her novels are educating, religious, and entertaining. The writer of this study intends to investigate whether Rosa’s short stories are having those three characteristics. This study aims to analyze whether the short stories of KMGP are educating, religious, and entertaining.

In this research, the writer uses descriptive qualitative method. The writer describes and interprets the data based on the research problems.

As the result, the Miter finds that the short stories of KMGP by Rosa have those three characteristics; educating, religious, and entertaining. However, there are only two short stories that have ١vhole of the three functions.

The writer concludes that the author of the short stories KMGP did not apply wholly what she said in the preface of KMGP stories that all of her stories are educating, religious, and entertaining.

It is suggested that other novels writer are suggested to Mite novels which have moral values because they can educate the readers, for literary teachers are expected to teach this Islamic short story to their children because it has many educating and religious values.
