Abstract
INDONESIA:
Banyakanya komentar negatif yang sering muncul di Instagram dapat memicu timbulnya seseorang melakukan hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan salah satunya penerimaan diri / Self Acceptance yang rendah. Penerimaan diri / Self Acceptance yang rendah ditandai dengan seseorang yang merasa tidak berharga, depresi, sulit beradaptasi dengan lingkungannya, kurangnya motivasi karena sering menyalahkan dan membenci diri sendiri. Beberapa orang memiliki tujuan utama dalam bermedia sosial yakni untuk mendapatkan kepuasan saat kebutuhan psikologisnya terpenuhi, dengan begitu seseorang akan termotivasi untuk terus bermedia social sehingga saat ia mendapatkan kepuasan melalui banyaknya komentar positif serta disukai banyak orang maka hal tersebut mendorong seseorang untuk terus membagikan foto ataupun video kegiatannya melalui Instagram. Tetapi apabila ia kurang puas dengan apa yang telah ia unggah di Instagram sehingga merasa dirinya terabaikan dan tidak dihargai maka akan menyebabkan seseorang enggan untuk mengunggah fotonya lagi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial instagram dengan Self Acceptance pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi angkatan 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 48 mahasiswa. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis dekriptif dan analisis product moment. Analisis deskriptif bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian. Sedangkan analisis product moment bertujuan untuk menguji ada tidaknya hubungan (korelasi) antar variabel. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode penyebaran kuesioner skala.
Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan uji product moment yang menunjukkan hasil analisis data correlations nilai sig (2-tailed = 0,000) < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak, artinya Ha diterima sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan Terdapat hubungan antara Intensitas Penggunaan Media Sosial Instagram dengan Self Acceptance. Sementara nilai pearson correlation didapat sebesar 0,622 artinya Intensitas Penggunaan Media Sosial Instagram memberikan sumbangan sebesar 62,2% terhadap Self Acceptance, sisanya 37,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

The many negative comments that often appear on Instagram can trigger someone to do unwanted things, one of which is low self-acceptance. Low self- acceptance is characterized by someone who feels worthless, depressed, has difficulty adapting to their environment, and lacks motivation because they often blame and hate themselves. Some people have the main goal in using social media, namely to get satisfaction when their psychological needs are met, that way someone will be motivated to continue using social media so that when they get satisfaction through lots of positive comments and are liked by many people, this encourages someone to continue sharing photos or videos. activities via Instagram. But if he is dissatisfied with what he has uploaded on Instagram so that he feels neglected and unappreciated, it will cause someone to be reluctant to upload his photos again.
This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of Instagram social media use and self-acceptance in psychology faculty students class of 2017. This research uses a quantitative research method. The subjects in this study
were 48 students. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis and product moment analysis. Descriptive analysis aims to describe the research results. While product moment analysis aims to test whether there is a relationship (correlation)
between variables. Collecting data using the method of distributing scale questionnaires.
The results of this study used the product moment test which showed that the results of the data correlations analysis had a sig value (2-tailed = 0.000) <0.05, then Ho was rejected, meaning that Ha was accepted so that it was concluded that there is a relationship between the Intensity of Use of Instagram Social Media and Self Acceptance. Meanwhile, the Pearson correlation value was 0.622, which means that the Intensity Use of Instagram Social Media contributes 62.2% to Self Acceptance, the remaining 37.8% is influenced by other factors.
