Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pendidikan pendidikan lingkungan hidup sangat berperan penting dalam memberikan pemahaman dan pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di sekolah. Dalam upaya mempercepat pengembangan pendidikan lingkungan hidup khususnya jalur pendidikan formal untuk mendorong terciptanya pengetahuan dan kesadaran warga sekolah dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan hidup maka pada tanggal 21 Februari 2006 telah dicanangkan program Adiwiyata. MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu merupakan sekolah peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan yang telah menerapkan program Adiwiyata sebagai perwujudan pendididkan lingkungan hidup di sekolah. Kedua sekolah tersebut telah mendapat penghargaan sebagai sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional. MIN Tegalasri Wlingi mendapat penghargaan Adiwiyata Nasional. Saat ini kedua sekolah tersebut telah mempersiapkan untuk menuju sekolah Adiwiyata Mandiri.
Beranjak dari permasalahan di atas, tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan perencanaan program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu. (2) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu. (3) Mendeskripsikan evaluasi program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu. (4) Mendeskripsikan dampak program Adiwiyata terhadap karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan di MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah kepala sekolah, koordinator program Adiwiyata, guru PLH, guru mata pelajaran terintegrasi dengan PLH, para siswa, petugas kebersihan, penjaga kantin dan orang tua siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Untuk memperoleh keabsahan data digunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Perencanaan program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalsri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu, meliputi (a) membentuk tim Adiwiyata, (b) membuat kajian lingkungan, (c) merencanakan aksi lingkungan. (2) Pelaksanaan program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalsri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu didasarkan pada 4 komponen program Adiwiyata yaitu (a) berwawasan lingkungan, (b) pelaksanaan kurikulum berbasis lingkungan, (c) kegiatan lingkungan berbasis partisipatif, (d) pengelolaan sarana pendukung ramah lingkungan. (3) Evaluasi program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa di MIN Tegalsri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu dilakukan dengan cara (a) mendokumentasikan keadaan lingkungan sebelum, saat dan setelah dilakukan kegiatan dalam pengelolaan dan perlindungan lingkungan sekolah, (b) memantau tagihan listrik dan pengeluaran untuk pembelian alat tulis kantor (ATK) setiap bulannya, (c) menimbang jumlah sampah yang akan di daur ulang, dirubah fungsinya dan diberikan ke pemulung, (d) memantau kemampuan siswa meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik setelah melakukan pembelajaran terkait lingkungan dan kegiatan rutin terkait lingkungan pada program Adiwiyata. (4) Program Adiwiyata membawa dampak positif terhadap karakter peduli lingkungan siswa. Hal tersebut terlihat dari prilaku siswa MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar dan SDN Temas 01 Batu yang telah berubah menjadi lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan hidup setelah diterapkan program Adiwiyata di sekolah.
ABSTRACT
Education Environmental is very important in providing an understanding and caring character formation of students in the school environment. In an effort to accelerate the development of environmental education, especially formal education to promote the creation of knowledge and awareness of the school community in environmental protection then on February 21, 2006 has been proclaimed Adiwiyata program. MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar and SDN 01 Temas Batu is a caring school environment and culture that have implemented the program Adiwiyata as the embodiment of environmental education in schools. Both of these schools have received awards as National Adiwiyata school. MIN Tegalasri Wlingi awarded the National Adiwiyata. Currently both schools have been preparing to go to school Adiwiyata Mandiri.
The problems Moving on from above, the purpose of this study were (1) Describe the program planning Adiwiyata in shaping the character of the student environmental awareness in MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar and SDN 01 Temas Batu. (2) Describe the implementation of the program Adiwiyata in shaping the character of the student environmental awareness in MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar and SDN 01 Temas Batu. (3) Describe Adiwiyata program evaluation in shaping the character of the student environmental awareness in MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar and SDN 01 Temas Batu. (4) Describe the impact of the Adiwiyata progran toward students' character of environment taking care in MIN Tegalasri Blitar and SDN Temas 01 Batu
This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The study was conducted in MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar and SDN 01 Temas Batu with the subject of his research is the principal, program coordinator Adiwiyata, PLH teachers, subject teachers integrated with PLH, students, janitors, cafeteria guards and parents. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. To obtain the validity of data used triangulation techniques and triangulation of sources.
The study Results were (1) Planning course Adiwiyata in shaping the character of the student environmental awareness in MIN Tegalsri Wlingi Blitar and SDN Temas Batu 01, includes (a) forming a team Adiwiyata, (b) make an assessment of the environment, (c) environmental action plan. (2) Implementation of the program Adiwiyata in shaping the character of the student environmental awareness in MIN Tegalsri Wlingi Blitar and SDN Temas Batu 01 is based on four components of the program Adiwiyata namely (a) environmental, (b) the implementation of environment-based curriculum, (c) environmental activities based participatory, (d) the management of environmentally friendly means of support. (3) Evaluation Adiwiyata program in shaping the character of the student environmental awareness in MIN Tegalsri Wlingi Blitar and SDN 01 Temas Batu done by (a) to document the state of the environment before, during and after the activities of the management and protection of the school environment, (b) monitor the electricity bill and expenditures for the purchase of stationery (ATK) per month, (c) weigh the amount of waste that will be recycled, revamped its functions and given to scavengers, (d) the ability to monitor students include cognitive, affective and psychomotor after-related learning environments and routine activities related to the environment in Adiwiyata program. (4) the Adiwiyata program has positive impact toward students' character of environment taking care. That could be concluded from students' attitudes of MIN Tegalasri Wlingi Blitar and SDN Temas 01 Batu that have been improved to more take care about their environment after implementing the Adiwiyata program in the school
