Abstract
INDONESIA:
Silika merupakan salah satu komponen terbesar dalam abu sekam padi. Silika dalam abu sekam padi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bahan baku pembuatan zeolit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis dan karakterisasi nanozeolit X dengan variasi suhu hidrotermal. Tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu preparasi sampel dengan mencuci abu sekam padi menggunakan HCl 1 M. Kemudian dilakukan proses ekstraksi silika dan dilakukan sintesis nanozeolit X. Sintesis nanozeolit X menggunakan metode sol-gel dengan rasio SiO2/Al2O3 1,5. Prosesnya dicampurkan seluruh bahan dengan komposisi 0,7 TMAOH : 0,003 Na2O : x Al2O3: 2,16 SiO2 : 125 H2O dan dilakukan pengadukan selama 1 jam dan dieramkan 72 jam. Proses sintesis nanozeolit X dilakukan dengan penambahan templat organik (TMAOH) sebagai agen pengarah struktur. Kristalisasi dilakukan selama 48 jam dengan variasi suhu hidrotermal 70, 85 dan 100 °C. Karakterisasi meliputi penentuan kadar silika dengan XRF, kristalinitas dan kemurnian zeolit hasil sintesis dengan XRD, gugus fungsi dengan FTIR dan morfologi permukaan dengan SEM. Hasil analisis XRF menunjukkan prosentase silika abu sekam padi sebesar 94,7 %. Hasil XRD menunjukkan bahwa suhu optimum dalam pembentukan zeolit X adalah suhu 100 °C. Ukuran kristal suhu 70, 85 dan 100 °C berturut-turut adalah 16-30 nm; 40-85 nm dan 11-51 nm. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan serapan khas zeolit tipe faujasit pada bilangan gelombang 575, 585 dan 580 cm-1 yang merupakan regangan simetris. Analisis SEM menunjukkan morfologi nanozeolit X suhu 100 °C memiliki ukuran kristal yang heterogen dan bentuk kristal yang tidak terlihat jelas.

Rice husk ashes have a very high natural mineral component. Silica is one of the largest components in it. Silica in rice husk ashes can be used for the manufacture of zeolite materials. This study aimed to synthesize and characterize nanozeolite X with hydrothermal temperature variations. The steps that had been taken were the sample preparation with rice husk ashes washing with using HCl 1 M. Then do the extraction process silica and nanozeolite X. synthesized nanozeolite X Synthesis used sol-gel method with a ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 1,5. The process was mixed all the ingredients with the composition of 0,7 TMAOH : 0,003 Na2O : x Al2O3: 2,16 SiO2 : 125 H2O and stirring for 1 hour and it was incubated for 72 hours. Nanozeolite X synthesis process was performed by the addition of organic template (TMAOH) as an agent of a steering structure of the zeolite crystal. Crystallization was done for 48 hours with a temperature variation of hydrothermal of 70, 85 and 100 °C. Characterization included determining of amount of silica by XRF, crystal and purity of zeolite synthesis with XRD, functional group used FTIR and surface morphology was with SEM. The results of XRF analysis showed the percentage of silica of rice husk ashes were 94.7%. Temperature crystal size was 70, 85 and 100 ° C respectively it was 16-30 nm; 40-85 nm; 11-51 nm. FTIR analysis showed typical absorption- zeolite of type faujasite at wave number was 575, 585 and 580 cm-1 which was symmetrical stretch. SEM analysis showed the morphology of nanozeolite X at 100 °C is heterogeneous and crystal shape is not visible distinc.
