Abstract
ABSTRAK
Sekolah merupakan satuan pendidikan yang dapat mengoptimalkan semua lingkungan belajar yang ada untuk membentuk, menguatkan, ataupun memperbaiki secara terus menerus proses pendidikan karakter, termasuk karakter peduli lingkungan. SDN Tunjungsekar I Malang dan SDN Tulungrejo 4 Batu merupakan sebahagian diantara sekolah dasar di Kota Malang dan Kota Batu yang berhasil meraih predikat sekolah adiwiyata mandiri yang mempunyai visi & misi sebagai sekolah peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan sekolah dalam upaya membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa serta perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa di dua sekolah adiwiyata mandiri tersebut.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus dan desain multikasus. Penelitian dilakukan di (1). SDN Tunjungsekar I Lowokwaru Malang (2). SDN Tulungrejo 4 Bumiaji Batu. Objek penelitian adalah strategi pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan serta perilaku peduli lingkungan, sedangkan subjeknya adalah kepala sekolah, koordinator adiwiyata, Guru PLH, serta para siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Untuk memperoleh keabsahan data digunakan trianggulasi sumber, trianggulasi teknik, dan trianggulasi waktu. Penelitian ini menggunkan rancangan multikasus, maka analisis data dilakukan dalam dua tahap yakni analisis data kasus individu dan analisis data lintas kasus.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah; (1) Strategi pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi empat pilar pembentukan, yakni melalui kegiatan belajar mengajar, budaya sekolah, kegiatan ekstrakulikuler, dan penguatan dari orang tua. Pertama, strategi pembentukkan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui kegiatan belajar mengajar ini terbagi menjadi dua pola, pertama; melalui muatan lokal pendidikan lingkungan hidup, kedua; dengan mengintegrasikan muatan lokal pendidikan lingkungan hidup kedalam seluruh mata pelajaran. Kedua, Strategi pembentukkan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui budaya sekolah dilakukan melalui kegiatan rutin, keteladanan kepala sekolah dan dewan guru, kegiatan spontan, serta pengkondisian lingkungan. Ketiga, outbond dan pramuka menjadi kegiatan ekstrakuriler yang dipilih untuk membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan. Keempat, sekolah telah berupaya merangkul para orang tua siswa agar satu visi dan misi dalam mendidik para siswa terkait masalah lingkungan (2) Perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa di kedua sekolah antara lain telah membuang sampah pada tempatnya, buang air besar dan kecil di toilet, kegiatan piket harian, sikap peduli dengan tumbuhan yang berada di sekitar sekolah dengan melakukan perawatan dan tidak merusaknya, dan juga telah ada upaya untuk mengingatkan orang sekitar untuk menjaga lingkungan. Serta menggunakan air secukupnya dengan mematikan keran air setelah digunakan merupakan perilaku hemat air.
ABSTRACT
School as one of education unit that be able optimize all of learning environment to construct, to strength, or repair continually the process of educational character, including the character of care about surrounding. SDN Tunjungsekar I Malang and SDN Tulungrejo 4 Batu are some of elementary school in Malang that can achieve the predicate as Adiwiyata Mandiri school that have vision & mission as care and cultured surrounding/environment school. The purposes of this research are to know what strategies that uses to construct the character care about environment and students care environment behavior at both of two schools.
This research use qualitative approach with kind of case study and multi case design. The research held in (1). SDN Tanjungsekar I Lowokwaru Malang (2).SDN Tulungrejo 4 Bumiaji Batu. The object of research are the strategy construct the character of care about environment as well as the behavior of care about environment, while the subject are headmaster, coordinator of adiwiyata, PLH teacher, and also all of students. The data collected through deep interview, observation and documentation. To get valid data, researcher use triangulation of source, triangulation of technic, and triangulation of time. This research use multi case plan, so that the data analysis did in two steps are the data analysis individual case and the data analysis across case.
The result of this research are; (1) the strategy of constructing care about environment character classified into four are through learning and teaching process, the culture of school, extrakulikuler activities, and reinforcement from parents. First, the strategy of care about environment character through learning and teaching process divided into two, first: trough ecological education subject, second: integrating ecological education subject into all subject matter. Second, the strategy of constructing care about environment character through culture of school did by routine activities, the model of headmaster and all teachers, spontaneity activity, also to condition the environment. Third, outbound and boy scouts become an extrakulikuler activities that chosen to construct the character of care bout environment. Fourth, meeting when giving rapport and other meeting moment that did with students’ parents becoming time that use by school to huddling up the parents make deal with one vision & mission educate students according to environment problems. (2) the behavior of care about environment in both of school such as threw the rubbish on dustbin, take a like and take a dumb in toilet, daily shift program, care attitude with all plants around the school by take care of it all and unbroken it all, and there is effort to reminded people around them to keep environment clean. Also using water sufficiently by turn off water taps after use it is the kind of save water attitude.
