Abstract
ABSTRACT
Bilingual program it is a program of learning two languages which are relatively new and emerging organized by the schools at the present time. It is against the background by the demands of progress and development of information, communication and transportation facilities can not be avoided anymore impact. Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang is one of the educational institutions to implement a bilingual program with an international vision for the future education orientation. The agencies including educational institutions leading to the participant students will be full of achievements in terms of both academic and non academic.
This study aims to reveal the implementation of bilingual programs implemented in Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang, with sub focus include: (1) background of the implementation of bilingual programs, (2) the implementation of bilingual programs, (3) factors supporting the implementation of bilingual programs, (4) the factors inhibiting the implementation of bilingual programs in Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang.
This study used a qualitative approach with case study design. Data was collected through a structured interview technique, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the findings made by perseverance observation, triangulation using a type of triangulation of sources, and discussions with colleagues. The informant is the head of research foundations, principals, board of teachers, students, and parents Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang.
The results showed that: (1) background of the implementation of bilingual programs in Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun is the observation head of the foundation of experience and observation head bilingualism foundations to international-minded educational institutions, (2) the implementation of bilingual programs in Elementary Plus Qurrota A 'yun Malang tailored to the readiness and competence possessed by citizens of the school that is in the form of daily communication activities, (3) factors supporting the implementation of bilingual programs in Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang include: board of teachers and school officials Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang , the provision of bilingual books, environmental Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang, (4) factors inhibiting the implementation of bilingual programs in Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang include: linguistic competence of students is heterogeneous, limited support for the parents Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang, the limited provision of facilities and infrastructure in the Elementary Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang.
ABSTRAK
Program bilingual merupakan program pembelajaran dua bahasa yang relatif baru dan marak diadakan oleh sekolah-sekolah pada saat sekarang. Program bilingual adalah sebuah rancangan dalam sistem pendidikan yang menggunakan atau menyangkut dua bahasa. Yang menjadi latar belakang adanya program bilingual ini adalahtuntutan kemajuan dan perkembangan informasi, komunikasi serta sarana transportasi yang tidak dapat dihindari lagi dampaknya. SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malangmerupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan berwawasan internasional di kota Malang yang menerapkan program bilingual,dimana memiliki orientasi pendidikan untuk masa depan. Lembaga tersebut termasuk lembaga pendidikan unggulan dengan peserta didiknya sarat akan prestasi baik dari segi akademik maupun non akademik.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan implementasi program bilingual yang diterapkan di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang, dengan sub fokus mencakup: (1) latar belakang implementasi program bilingual, (2) implementasi program bilingual, (3) faktor pendukungimplementasi program bilingual, (4) faktor penghambat implementasi program bilingual di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tekhnik wawancara terstruktur, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Tekhnik analisis data meliputi: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan temuan dilakukan dengan cara ketekunan pengamatan, triangulasi dengan menggunakan jenis triangulasi sumber, dan diskusi bersama rekan sejawat. Informan penelitian yaitu kepala yayasan, kepala sekolah, dewan guru, murid, serta wali murid SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) latar belakang implementasi program bilingual di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun adalah pengamatan Kepala Yayasan terhadap perilaku kedwibahasaan dan observasi Kepala Yayasan kepada lembaga pendidikan yang berwawasan Internasional; (2) implementasi program bilingual di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang disesuaikan dengan kesiapan dan kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh warga sekolah yaitu dalam bentuk kegiatan komunikasi sehari-hari di lingkungan sekolah; (3) faktor pendukung implementasi program bilingual di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang meliputi: dewan guru dan pegawai SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang, pengadaan buku-buku bilingual, lingkungan SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang; (4) faktor penghambat implementasi program bilingual di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang meliputi: kompetensi linguistik siswa yang bersifat heterogen, keterbatasan dukungan wali murid SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang, keterbatasan penyediaan sarana dan prasarana di SD Plus Qurrota A’yun Malang.
