Abstract
INDONESIA:
Mata pelajaran Bahasa Arab adalah salah satu mata pelajaran yang wajib ada di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Ada banyak strategi dan metode untuk bisa mengajarkan materi bahasa arab. Begitu juga dengan sumber dan media yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa arab. Secara umum, media pembelajaran adalah alat bantu proses belajar mengajar. Segala sesuatu yang dapat dipergunakan untuk merangsang pikiran, perasaan, perhatian dan kemampuan atau ketrampilan pembelajar sehingga dapat mendorong terjadinya proses belajar. Batasan ini cukup luas dan mendalam mencakup pengertian sumber, lingkungan, manusia dan metode yang dimanfaatkan untuk tujuan pembelajaran / pelatihan.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan perencanaan penggunaan media Teka-Teki Silang (TTS) untuk meningkatkan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas V di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama‟ (MINU) Maudlu‟ul Ulum Pandean Malang. (2) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan penggunaan media Teka-Teki Silang (TTS) untuk meningkatkan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas V di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama‟ (MINU) Maudlu‟ul Ulum Pandean Malang. (3) Mendeskripsikan evaluasi penggunaan media Teka-Teki Silang (TTS) untuk meningkatkan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama‟ (MINU) Maudlu‟ul Ulum Pandean Malang.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus dan empat kali pertemuan. Dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Untuk pengecekan keabsahan data penulis menggunakan triangulasi. Sumber penelitiannya yaitu siswa kelas V.
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media teka-teki silang (TTS) dapat meningkatkan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas V dengan indikator keberhasilan: 1) Selama pembelajaran berlangsung siswa tampak senang, antusias, dan bersemangat: 2) Hasil penilaian siswa lebih baik dan meningkat dari hasil yang mereka dapatkan sebelumnya. Prosentase ketuntasan pada pre test yaitu 44,4%. Pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 77,7% dan siklus II meningkat sebesar 83%.
ENGLISH:
Arabic lesson was one of the lessons which had to be included in the curriculum of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school). There were several strategies and methods to teach Arabic. There were also many sources and media that could be employed during the learning process of Arabic lesson. In general, teaching media were the tools that were used to help the learning process. More specifically, teaching media were the things that can be used to stimulate student‟s mind, feeling, attention, and ability to encourage learning process. This limitation was quite deep and wide including the definition, source, environment,
human being, and the methods which were used to reach the objective of learning/training.
The objectives of this study were: (1) To describe the planning of utilizing cross word media to increase Arabic vocabularies of the fifth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama‟ (MINU) Maudlu‟ul Ulum Pandean Malang. (2) To describe the implementation of utilizing cross word media to increase Arabic vocabularies of the fifth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama‟ (MINU) Maudlu‟ul Ulum Pandean Malang. (3) To describe the evaluation of utilizing cross word media to increase Arabic vocabularies of the fifth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama‟ (MINU) Maudlu‟ul Ulum Pandean Malang.
The approach employed in this study was descriptive qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research type of research. This research was divided into four steps, those were: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This research was containing two cycles and four meetings. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. To check the validity of the data the researcher used triangulation. The source of the research was the fifth grade students.
The result of this study showed that utilizing cross word media could increase Arabic vocabularies of the fifth grade students with the following success indicators: (1) During the learning process the students looked happy, enthusiastic, and energetic. (2) The results of student‟ assessments were increasing and better than the previous result. The completeness percentage in the pre test was 44%. In cycle I it was increasing to 77,7% and in the cycle II it was increasing to 83%.
