Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pengembangan kurikulum tingkat sekolah/satuan pendidikan adalah hal yang harus dilakukan oleh setiap sekolah, hal ini bertujuan agar pendidikan dapat tercapai secara maksimal. Seringkali guru-guru tidak memahami ide-ide yang terkandung di dalam kurikulum, padahal kejelasan terhadap ide baru kurikulum akan menentukan keberhasilan implementasi. Sekolah alam sebagai sekolah alternatif yang muncul dari fenomena manajemen berbasis sekolah (MBS) memberikan model baru dalam dunia pendidikan. Sekolah Dasar Islam (SDI) Surya Buana mengembangkan kurikulum sekolah alam Bilingual. Berdasarkan rasionalitas dan realitas tersebut, maka penulis mencoba mengangkat suatu masalah yang diformulasikan kedalam judul “pengembangan kurikulum Sekolah Alam: Studi Kasus Sekolah Alam Bilingual SDI Surya Buana Malang”.
Tujuan penelitian untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan konsep pengembangan kurikulum sekolah alam Bilingual SDI Surya Buana Malang; (2) mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi pengembangan kurikulum sekolah alam Bilingual SDI Surya Buana Malang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus observasional yang berkenaan dengan konsep pengembangan kurikulum Sekolah Alam Bilingual SDI Surya Buana Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu: (1) wawancara mendalam (2) observasi partisipan dan (3) studi dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Untuk pengecekan keabsahan data agar memperoleh temuan penelitian yang valid dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan kebenarannya dengan menggunakan teknik pengujian: kredibilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas.
Temuan Penelitian SDI Surya Buana memasukkan ciri khas Triple ”R” sebagai konsep pengembangan kurikulum sekolah alam Bilingual, yakni; Reasoning, Research, dan Religius. Selain itu juga mengembangkan Bahasa Arab dan Bahasa Inggris sebagai pembiasaan yang diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran. Saran peneliti bagi sekolah: upaya mengekfektifkan program sekolah harus realistis sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kemampuan yang ada, supaya bisa diimplementasikan oleh siswa SDI Surya Buana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Bagi para pelaku pendidikan: sebagai referensi untuk menambah wawasan tentang pengembangan kurikulum sekolah alam. Bagi ilmu pengetahuan: sebagai wacana baru pengembangan kurikulum sekolah alam dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas sekolah.
ABSTRACT
The curriculum development for school is a matter that should be done in each school, this is intended to reach maximum grade for the education development. The curriculum development can occur anytime as much as the need of society. Oftentimes, teachers do not understand ideas inside of the curriculum whereas the clearance towards the new curriculum ideas can determine the implementation achievement. The natural school is one of the alternate which appears from MBS (Management Based on School) give new design in education world. Surya Buana as a Natural School also has curriculum development concept. What is its concept and how to implement it? Thus, by those matters, this research is focused on the curriculum development in Surya Buana Natural School. This research is argued for: (1) describing the curriculum development in Surya Buana Natural School; (2) describing the curriculum development implementation in Surya Buana Natural School, Malang.
This research uses qualitative approach by study research arrangement of observational case that is going with the concept in Surya Buana Natural School, Malang and one study case focusing on case determined by the research focus arranged. The technique of data’s submission is; 1. Interviewing in depth 2. Participant observation and 3. Study of documents, the techniques analysis used here are; data reduction, data presentation and verification. For checking or knowing the data absolute in order to get valid result of the research and be able to be responsible for its validity by using these examining techniques; (1) credibility, (2) dependability and (3) conformability.
The research result, Surya Buana involves Triple “R” as curriculum development concept for Bilingual natural school, they are; Reasoning, Research and Religious. Other wise, it is also developing Arabic and English speaking skill to be habit which can be implemented into teaching. The researcher suggests the school to; attempt in making effective the school’s programs must be realistic and fit with the need demand. For the education manager and society around, in order to use this thesis for improving the knowledge about curriculum development. For science, as new passage of curriculum development in natural school to improve and make better the school’s quality.
