Pengaruh kepemimpinan situasional dan komunikasi interpersonal kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru pada MTs di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi

ABSTRAK

Seorang pemimpin yang efektif dapat memberikan kepuasan kepada bawahannya dan selalu berusaha memperhatikan motivasi dan prestasi kerja terhadap bawahan. Menurut Hersey dan Blanchard bahawa seorang pemimpin dalam menjalankan tugas-tugas kepemimpinannya sebaiknya mengetahui tingkat kesiapan bawahannya serta dituntut mempunyai kemampuan dalam hal mengarahkan dan memerintahkan (telling), mengkomunikasikan keputusan-keputusan yang diambil dan mempengaruhi bawahannya sehingga mau dan mampu melaksanakan keputusan tersebut (selling), melibatkan bawahan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan (participating), dan membagi tugas sesuai dengan kemampuan bawahan (delegating).

Permasalahan penelitian yang dikaji adalah Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Situasional dan Komunikasi Interpersonal Kepala Madrasah terhadap Kinerja Guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: Seberapa besar pengaruh Kepemimpinan situasional dan komunikasi interpersonal kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru pada MTs di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket tertutup. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 48 orang guru MTs di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan perhitungan kecenderungan rata-rata, analisis korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan cara sederhana dan ganda, regresi linier dengan cara sederhan dan ganda. Teknik ini untuk memprediksi perubahan yang disebabkan pengaruh dari variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikatnya. Uji signifikansi menggunakan uji- F dan uji-t, dan untuk pengolahan data dalam studi ini menggunakan SPSS 17,0 for windows.

Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa besarnya pengaruh dari variabel kepemimpinan situasional kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 25,4%,. Pengaruh variabel komunikasi interpersonal kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 15,3%, Pengaruh variabel kepemimpinan situasional dan komunikasi interpersonal kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 40,7%. Hasil dapat memberikan makna bahwa pengaruh kepemimpinan situasional dan komunikasi interpersonal kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan namun pengaruh masih rendah artinya masih factor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kinerja guru.

ABSTRACT

An effective leader can give satisfaction to his subordinates and always strive regard to motivation and job performance of subordinates. According to Hersey and Blanchard that free a leader in performing leadership duties should determine the level of readiness of subordinates, and sued to have the ability in terms of directing and command (telling), communicate the decisions taken and influencing subordinates so willing and able to implement the decision (selling) , involving subordinates in decision making (participating), and divide the tasks according to the ability of subordinates (delegating).

Research problem studied is the effect of Situational Leadership and Interpersonal Communication Principals on Teacher Performance. The purpose of this study is to determine: How much influence situational leadership and interpersonal communication on the performance of the head teacher at the madrasah schools in the District Muaro Jambi.

The research method used was survey research with quantitative approach. Data collected through questionnaires covered the spread. The research sample consisted of 48 teachers from schools in the District Muaro Jambi. Data processing techniques using the calculation of the average propensity, Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis in a simple, double, linear regression and multiple simpler way. The technique is to predict changes due to the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Test of significance using F-test and t-test, and for processing the data in this study using the SPSS 17.0 for windows.

The calculations show that the influence of situational leadership variable head madrasa teacher performance by 25.4%. Interpersonal communication variables influence the performance of Islamic head teacher of 15.3%, the variable effect of situational leadership and interpersonal communication on the performance of Islamic head teacher of 40.7%. The results can provide meaning that the influence of situational leadership and interpersonal communication on the performance of Islamic head there is a significant effect, but the effect is still low mean still other factors that affect the performance of teachers.
