Abstract

ABSTRAK

Tesis ini mengkaji tentang strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan agama Islam. Pembahasannya dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi guru pendidikan agama Islam, strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan agama Islam, kendala-kenada yang dihadapinya serta cara mengatasinya di suatu lembaga pendidikan.

Kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan agama Islam merupakan kemampuan, keahlian dan keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang meliputi (1) penguasaan materi, struktur, konsep, dan pola pikir keilmuan yang mendukung mata pelajaran PAI, (2) menguasai SK dan KD mata pelajaran PAI, (3) mengembangkan materi pembelajaran secara kreatif, (4) mengembangkan keprofesionalan secara berkelanjutan, dan (5) memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk mengembangkan diri. Seorang guru pendidikan agama Islam dikatakan kompeten apabila telah menguasai dan mampu melaksanakan kompetensi profesional guru tersebut.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, jenis deskriptif penomenologis dan ditunjang oleh referensi-referensi yang berkaitan dengan tema yang dibahas (library research). Sumber data diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi dan angket dan dokumentasi. Adapun proses analisis data yang peneliti gunakan adalah reduksi data (date Reduction), penyajian data (date Disply), kesimpulan atau verifikasi (conclution drawing & verifying).

Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil: (1) Kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan agama Islam di SMPN 1 Narmada Lombok Barat dapat dikategorikan baik, baik pada aspek Al-Qur’an hadits, aqidah, akhlak, fiqih, dan tarikh. (2) Strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan agama Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Narmada Lombok Barat yaitu: (a) Memberikan tugas pada GPAI untuk menyusun program pembelajaran, (b) Mesupervisi terhadap GPAI, (c) Pembinaan terhadap GPAI melalui rapat dewan guru, (d) Mengadakan MGMP pada mata pelajaran pendidikan agama Islam, (e) work shop, (f) lesson study. (3) Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan agama Islam dan cara mengatasinya di SMPN 1 Narmada Lombok Barat yaitu: (a) faktor sarana prasarana yang terbatas, (b) faktor waktu pelaksanaan belum efektif, dan (c) faktor anggaran dana khusus tidak ada. sedangkan cara mengatasinya yaitu waktu dan tempat pelaksanaan diatur dengan jadwal, kepala sekolah atau kelompok guru mengajukan proposal bantuan dana ke dinas terkait atau bupati, dan atau guru- guru berinisiatif dengan kesadaran sendiri mengumpulkan dana dengan teman guru lainnya secara suka rela.

ABSTRACT

This Thesis is review the School Master Strategy in the Development of teachers professional competence of Islamic educational, Discussion intended for describe the competence of teachers of Islamic Religious Education, business principals and teachers of Islamic religion in developing the teachers professional competence of Islamic religious education,constraints they face and how to cope in an educational institution . .

Teacher professional Competence of Islamic religious education the capabilities, expertise and skills must have by teachers Islamic religious education in learning process cover (1) mastery of the subyects, structure, concepts, and think the science that supports the pattern of subjects, (2) competence standard and based of competence control subjects, (3) develop a creative subyect study, (4) develop a sustainable professionalism, and (5) utilize information and communication to develop themselves. Islamic religious education if said competent have mastered and understood, and able to carry out professional competence of teachers.

This Research using qualitative approach, the deskripsif penomenologis type, referen and supported by references related to themes discussed (library research). Source of datas obtained from two sources, namely: primary data include interviews, observation and questionnaires and is that secondary; datas documentation. The process of date analysis the researchers is use datas Reduction, data presentation (data Disply), or verification (conclution drawing & verifyintion). As for the benchmark development of teachers professional competence of Islamic religious education is a benchmark score to categorize a professional competence of a teacher education either competent or less standard.

After research, can conclused four points namely: (1) the teachers professional competence of Islamic religious education at SMPN 1 Narmada West Lombok can be categorized as good both aspects of the Qur 'an and hadith, aqeedah, morals, jurisprudence, and history of Islam. (2) the strategy of school master in developing the teachers professional competence of Islamic religious education in West Lombok SMPN 1 Narmada is (a) giving duties to islamic education teacher to range teaching program, (b) to supervise another islamic education teacher, (c) to guiding Islamic teacher by teacher council in meeting,(d) MGMP of Islamic education group, (e) Work shop, (f), lessoon study. (3) constraints encountered in developing the teachers professional competence of Islamic religious education and how to cope in West Lombok Narmada SMPN 1 ie: the factors that limited infrastructure, the implementation has not been effective, and there are no special funds budgets. while I fix the time and place set or scheduled execution, the principal or the teacher proposes funding proposal to the relevant department or district, and or teachers their own initiative to raise awareness with friends, other teachers on a voluntary.
