Totalitarianism is a regime effort that wants to fully control the lives of the people under its control. This study aims to explain the characteristics of totalitarianism and the operation of the totalitarian regime in Vox. This research is important to add insight into the characteristics of totalitarian regime and how totalitarian regime operates in Vox. This research applies the Totalitarianism theory by Friedrich and Brzezinski. Meanwhile, the approach used in this study is a sociological approach. This research uses data taken from phrases, sentences, paragraphs, and dialogues between characters related to the characteristics of totalitarianism and the operation of totalitarian regime. As a result, the researcher finds evidence of totalitarian characteristics and the operation of totalitarian regime in Vox. The first characteristic is the existence of an official ideology. The ideological doctrine of totalitarianism intends to domesticate women. Second, a single mass party led by President Myers as a dictator, this party consisted of elite people like Anna Myers and Reverend Carl, who succeeded in gathering votes for Sam Myers. Furthermore, in the terror system, the researcher finds a technology called a ‘counter’ with its spontaneous electric shocks, CCTV in every room, and a concentration camp for anyone who does not comply with regime regulations. Next is monopolizing mass communication, the regime monopolizing television broadcasts for propaganda purposes. Furthermore, totalitarian regimes also monopolize weapons to control society. Finally, the regime has a centralized directed economy; this control is included in the policy of replacing all female employees with men chosen by the regime. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan ciri-ciri totaliterisme dalam novel Vox dan operasi rezim totaliter di novel Vox. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk menambah wawasan tentang karakteristik pemerintahan totaliter dan bagaimana rezim totaliter beroperasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Totaliterisme dari Friedrich dan Brzezinski. Sedangkan, pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan sosiologis. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menemukan bukti adanya ciri-ciri totaliter dalam novel Vox. Ciri pertama adalah adanya ideologi resmi, pemerintahan dalam novel Vox menggunakan Ideologi Kristiani sebagai acuan segala pergerakan mereka.
