Abstract
INDONESIA:
Mahasiswa dalam menjalankan perkuliahan seringkali dihadapkan oleh berbagai tuntutan akademik yang dapat memicu terjadinya stres. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa perlu memiliki academic hardiness agar dapat mengelola stresnya dengan baik. Adapun salah satu faktor yang dapat mengurangi stres salah satunya melalui emotional support yang dapat diperoleh dari orang tua, teman sebaya, dosen, ataupun sumber lainnya. Adanya emotional support dapat membuat mahasiswa merasa aman dan dicintai sehingga ketangguhan pada diri mahasiswa dalam menghadapi berbagai tuntutan akademik dapat tumbuh.Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh emotional support orang tua dan teman sebaya terhadap academic hardiness.
Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Farmasi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2022 yang berjumlah 142 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling dengan menjadikan keseluruhan populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 20 for windows.
Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan emotional support orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap academic hardiness mahasiswa Farmasi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2022. Kemudian, emotional support teman sebaya juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap academic hardiness mahasiswa Farmasi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2022. Hal tersebut didasarkan pada hasil nilai signifikansi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa emotional support orang tua dan teman sebaya berpengaruh terhadap academic hardiness mahasiswa Farmasi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2022 dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 50.8%. Selain itu, emotional support orang tua lebih berpengaruh terhadap academic hardiness dibandingkan emotional support teman sebaya.

Students in carrying out lectures are often faced with various academic demands that can trigger stress. Therefore, students need to have academic hardiness in order to manage their stress well. One of the factors that can reduce stress is through emotional support that can be obtained from parents, peers, lecturers, or other sources. The existence of emotional support can make students feel safe and loved so that the resilience of students in facing various academic demands can grow. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of emotional support from parents and peers on academic hardiness.
This study uses a type of quantitative research. The population in this study were Pharmacy students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class of 2022, totaling 142 people. Sampling was carried out using total
sampling technique by making the entire population as the research sample. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS 20 for windows program.
The results of the study show that the emotional support of parents has a significant effect on the academic hardiness of Pharmacy students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class of 2022. Then, emotional support of peers also has a significant effect on the academic hardiness of Pharmacy students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class of 2022. This is based on the results of the significance value. Thus, it can be concluded that the emotional support of parents and peers influences the academic hardiness of Pharmacy students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang class of 2022 with an effective contribution of 50.8%. In addition, the emotional support of parents has more influence on academic hardiness than the emotional support of peers.
