Abstract

INDONESIA:

Air merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan mahluk hidup di bumi. Kehidupan yang sehat tergantung dari keberadaan air yang kualitasnya bagus. Qirbah merupakan salah satu tempat penyimpanan air minum yang terbuat dari kulit binatang ternak (kambing). Pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh wadah air minum tehadap sifat fisis air (pH, suhu, konduktivitas, kadar oksigen) dan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri. Air yang digunakan untuk sampel berasal dari air sumur matang dan mentah, kemudian disimpan dalam wadah qirbah kulit kambing dilapisi beeswax, dan tanpa dilapisi beeswax, labu, guci (keramik) dan teko (kuningan) selama empat hari. Pengambilan data dilakukan setiap hari. Data yang diamati pH, konduktivitas, TDS, kadar oksigen, dan uji bakteri. Dari hasil analisis data menggunakan one way annova menunjukkan wadah mempengaruhi terhadap nilai derajad keasaman (pH), konduktivitas, TDS, kadar oksigen dan pertumbuhan bakteri pada air sumur. pada qirbah dilapisi beeswax untuk air sumur matang nilai pH-nya 7,2-7,56, nilai konduktivisnya 342-516,33 µS/cm, nilai TDS nya 152,33-215 ppm dan nilai kadar oksigennya 6,73-7,46 ppm, qirbah tanpa dilapisi beeswax untuk air sumur matang nilai pH nya 7,16-7,53, nilai konduktivitasnya 341,33-464 µS/cm, nilai TDS 153,66-220,33 ppm, nilai kadar oksigen 7,76-8,13 ppm, pada wadah qirbah dilapisi beeswax untuk air sumur mentah nilai pH nya 6,83-7,2, nilai konduktivitasnya 298,33-352,33 µS/cm, nilai TDS nya 135,33-147,66 ppm. Pada wadah qirbah tanpa dilapisi beeswax untuk air sumur mentah, nilai pH nya 7-7,36, nilai konduktivitasnya 268-305 µS/cm, nilai TDS nya 117-128,66 ppm, ini menunjukkan air sumur matang dan air sumur mentah setelah disimpan dalam qirbah kondisinya netral sesuai dengan standar air layak minum. Jumlah bakteri pada wadah qirbah lebih sedikit pertumbuhan koloninya yaitu 21-55 koloni.

Water is a very important necessity for living creatures on earth. Healthy life depends on the existence of good quality water. Qirbah is one of drinking water storage made of leather goat. in modern times qirbah is very rare, generally, people use polymeric materials for water storage. The study was conducted to determine the effect material for water container (qirbah teapot, flask, jar) toward physical properties of water (pH, conductivity, TDS, oxygen level) and the influence of bacteria growth. The used water for sample was the raw and boiled well water. It then stored in the five containers in four days. Data analysis using one way anova showed that the container has influencean the acidity level (pH), the oxygen level as well as bacteria growth on well water. Qirbah beeswax for boiled wall water had pH value (7,2-7,56), conductivity value (342-516,33 µS/cm), TDS value (152,33-215 ppm), value oxygen level (6,73-7,46 ppm) and qirbah without beeswax for boiled wall water had pH value (7,16-7,53), conductivity value (341,33-464 µS/cm), TDS value (153,66-220,33 ppm) and value oxygen level (7,76-8,13 ppm). Qirbah beeswax for raw well water had pH (6,83-7,2), conductivity value (298,33-352,33 µS/cm), TDS value (135,33-147,66 ppm) and qirbah without beeswax for raw well water had pH (7-7,36), conductivity value (268-305 µS/cm), TDS value (117-128,66 ppm). Qirbah had neutral pH, conductivity,TDS and oxygen levels satisfied standardization of drinkable. Even though it has from the lowest bacterial colonies (less than 21-55 colonies).
