Abstract
INDONESIA:
Asap rokok mengandung radikal bebas yang dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah kesehatan, sehingga diperlukan adanya penelitian guna menanggulangi permasalahan tersebut, khususnya penggunaan biofilter dari bahan alami untuk menangkap radikal bebas pada asap rokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan asap rokok dengan biofilter cengkeh dan daun kelor terhadap kadar MDA dan kualitas spermatozoa mencit. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 20 ekor mencit jantan berumur 2-3 bulan dengan berat badan 16-20 gram, yang dibagi dalam 4 kelompok yaitu kontrol positif, kontrol negatif, biofilter cengkeh, dan biofilter daun kelor. Pemaparan asap rokok dilakukan selama 21 hari, dengan jumlah paparan 150 ml setiap hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan biofilter cengkeh dan daun kelor terhadap kadar MDA mencit. Kadar MDA terbaik didapatkan pada mencit dengan perlakuan biofilter kelor dengan nilai sebesar 447 ng/ml. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan biofilter terhadap kualitas spermatozoa mencit berdasarkan jumlah spermatogenik dan diameter tubulus seminiferus. Berdasarkan jumlah sel spermatogenik didapatkan nilai yang paling baik pada penggunaan biofilter cengkeh sejumlah ± 249.48 sel, sedangkan berdasarkan diameter tubulus seminiferus yang paling baik pada penggunaan biofilter kelor dengan nilai rata-rata 191.32 µm. Penilaian jumlah spermatogenik menggunakan mikroskop dengan perbesaran 400X dengan masing-masing 5 bidang pandang. Uji analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan one way anova, hasil kadar MDA dan kualitas spermatozoa berdasarkan diameter tubulus seminiferus dengan perlakuan biofilter cengkeh dan kelor menunjukkan nilai yang hampir sama dengan kontrol negatif (normal), sedangkan berdasarkan jumlah spermatogenik dengan perlakuan biofilter cengkeh lebih baik dibandingkan kontrol negatif (sehat) dan biofilter kelor menunjukkan nilai yang hampir sama dengan kontrol negatif (sehat).

Cigarette smoking contains free radicals that can cause various health problems, so it is necessary to study in order to overcome these problems, in particular, the use of biofilters of natural materials to capture free radicals in cigarette smoke. This study aimed to determine the effect of smoke exposure with biofilter cloves and moringa leaves to the MDA and the quality of spermatozoa of mice. This study used a sample of 20 male of mice 2-3 months old and weighing of 16-20 grams, were divided into 4 groups: positive control, negative control, cloves biofilter and biofilter of moringa leaves. Exposure of cigarette smoke carried out for 21 days, with the amount of exposure of 150 ml of each day. The results showed that there were significant biofilter use of cloves and moringa leaves on levels of MDA in mice. Best MDA levels obtained in mice treated with moringa biofilter with a value of 447 ng / ml. This study also showed the influence of the use of biofilters on the quality of sperm in mice based on the number and diameter of seminiferous tubules spermatogenic. Based on the number of spermatogenic cells obtained the best value on the use of clove biofilter of cell number of ± 1247.4, while based on the diameter of the seminiferous tubules of the nicest on the use of Moringa biofilter with an average value of 191.32 µm. Rate the number of spermatogenic used a microscope with a magnification of 400X with each of the five fields of view. Test data analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA, test results MDA value and quality of spermatozoa by the diameter of seminiferous tubules with cloves and moringa biofilter treatment showed a value almost equal to the negative control (normal), while based on the number of spermatogenic with cloves biofilter treatment is better than the negative control (normal) and moringa biofilter showed a value almost equal to the negative control (normal).
