Rancang bangun aplikasi Mobile Learning pada sistem operasi Android

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas tentang perancangan aplikasi mobile learning berbasis Android untuk mendukung kegiatan perkuliahan, khususnya mahasiswa Teknik Informatika UIN Maliki Malang. Manfaat penelitian ini yaitu untuk mempermudah dosen dalam memantau perkembangan proses pembelajaran mahasiswa. Aplikasi ini didesain agar dosen bisa memantau dan mengontrol kegiatan belajar mahasiswa sehingga terjadi proses pembelajaran dua arah.

Rancang bangun aplikasi ini mempunyai beberapa tahapan dalam pengerjaannya. Perancangan sistem di sisi server, yaitu menyiapkan database server dengan MySQL dan menyiapkan web server menggunakan Apache dengan modul PHP. Sedangkan persiapan aplikasi di sisi client menggunakan aplikasi java berbasis Android yang dibangun dengan IDE Eclipse dan Android SDK sebagai development tools.

Hasil penilaian produk oleh 50 mahasiswa terhadap aplikasi mobile learning learning menunjukkan penilaian yang baik terhadap aspek komunikasi visual, aspek perangkat lunak dan aspek desain pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, aplikasi mobile learning ini layak diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran sebagai pelengkap pada sistem akademik online.

This research discuss how to design Android Mobile Applications to support learning classes, especially students of Informatics Engineering, State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Benefits of this research is to facilitate lecturers to monitor student learning progress. This application is designed so that teachers can monitor and control the activities of student learning resulting in a two-way learning process.

Design of mobile learning applications on the Android operating system has several stages in the process. The design of the system on the server, which is set up with MySQL database server and set up a web server using Apache with PHP module. While the preparation of the application on the client side using java based Android application built with the Eclipse IDE and Android SDK as development tools.

The results of assessment of the product by 50 students learning to mobile learning applications shows good judgment on aspects of visual communications, and software aspects of the design aspects of learning. Therefore, the application is feasible implement mobile learning in the learning process as a complement to the academic system online.
