Abstract

INDONESIA:

Ranu Grati merupakan salah satu danau yang terletak di Kecamatan Grati Kabupaten Pasuruan. Beranekaragamnya aktivitas masyarakat di sekitar Ranu Grati seperti pariwisata, pemancingan, keramba ikan, serta pembuangan limbah domestik oleh masyarakat ke dalam danau dapat menyebabkan pencemaran. Fitoplankton merupakan mikroorganisme yang ditemui hidup melayang di perairan, memiliki gerak terbatas sehingga mudah terbawa oleh arus. Fitoplankton merupakan organisme pertama yang terganggu karena adanya pencemaran yang diterima oleh suatu perairan, karena keberadaannya yang relatif menetap pada suatu perairan. Oleh sebab itu, fitoplankton dapat dijadikan sebagai bioindikator kualitas perairan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman Fitoplankton sebagai bioindikator kualitas perairan serta mengetahui kualitas perairan dilihat dari faktor fisika dan kimia perairan.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2012 di Ranu Grati Kabupaten Pasuruan. Sampel diambil pada lima stasiun pengamatan di masing-masing perairan dengan menggunakan Plankton Net (jaring plankton). Sampel diidentifikasi di laboratorium Ekologi dan Optik Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

Hasil penelitian Fitoplankton di perairan Ranu Grati pada 5 stasiun ditemukan 4 devisi yaitu: devisi Chrysophyta 5 genus (Cylindrothecha, Botrydiopsis, Cocconeis, Diatomella, Cymbella), devisi Cyanophyta 5 genus (Nodularia, Oscillatoria, Rivularia, Chroococcus, Spirulina), devisi Chlorophyta 4 genus (Cosmarium, Staurodesmus, Crucigeniella, Dictyosphaerium), dan devisi Pyrrophyta 1 genus (Peridinium). Fitoplankton yang paling melimpah adalah genus Oscillatoria. Indeks keanekaragaman fitoplankton tertinggi di perairan Ranu Grati terdapat pada stasiun keempat yaitu sebesar 1.1572 dengan nilai indeks dominansi sebesar 0,4819. Indeks keanekaragaman fitoplankton terendah terdapat pada stasiun kelima sebesar 0,6009 dengan indeks dominansi sebesar 0,7459. Berdasarkan keanekaragaman fitoplankton, perairan Ranu Grati pada lima stasiun termasuk perairan tercemar oleh fosfat. Berdasarkan kriteria Baku Mutu Air menurut PP No.82 tahun 2001 untuk pengukuran Suhu, pH, Nitrat, dan TDS menunjukkan untuk lima stasiun sesuai untuk baku mutu kelas I, untuk pengukuran DO menunjukkan untuk lima stasiun sesuai baku mutu kelas II, pengukuran BOD menunjukkan untuk lima stasiun sesuai baku mutu kelas III, pengukuran COD pada stasiun I, II, III, dan V sesuai baku mutu kelas I dan stasiun IV sesuai baku mutu kelas II, pengukuran Fosfat pada lima stasiun sesuai baku mutu kelas III dan IV, dan pengukuran TSS pada lima stasiun sesuai baku mutu kelas I, II dan III.

ENGLISH:

Ranu Grati is one of the lakes located in the District Grati Pasuruan. Great variety of community activities around the lake Ranu Grati such as tourism, fishing, fish cages, as well as domestic sewage into the lake by the community can lead to contamination. Phytoplankton are live microorganisms found floating in the water, has limited movement so easily carried away by the current. Phytoplankton are the first organisms were disrupted due to pollution received by a body of water, because of its relatively settled on waters. Therefore, phytoplankton can be used as a bioindicator of water quality. The purpose of this study to determine the diversity of phytoplankton as bioindicator of water quality and determine water quality views of the physical and chemical factors waters.

This study used quantitative descriptive methods. The study was conducted between July and October 2012 in Lake Ranu Grati Pasuruan. Samples were taken at five observation stations in their respective waters using Pankton Net (net plankton). Samples were identified in the laboratory Ecology and Optics Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Technology of the State Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

The results Phytoplankton in the waters of the Ranu Grati found 4 Division 5 stations namely: Division Chrysophyceae 5 genus (Cylindrothecha, Botrydiopsis, Cocconeis, Diatomella, Cymbella), division Cyanophyta 5 genus (Nodularia, Oscillatoria, Rivularia, Chroococcus, Spirulina), division Chlorophyta 4 genus (Cosmarium, Staurodesmus, Crucigeniella, Dictyosphaerium), and division Pyrrophyta (Peridinium). Phytoplankton are most abundant genus Oscillatoria. Highest diversity index of phytoplankton in the waters of the Ranu Grati found on the fourth station is at 1.1572 with a dominance index value of 0.4819. Lowest diversity index of phytoplankton present in the fifth station at 0.6009 with a dominance index of 0.7459. Based on the diversity of phytoplankton, aquatic Ranu Grati at five stations including polluted waters by phosphate. Based on the criteria according to the Water Quality Standards Regulation No.82 of 2001 for the measurement of temperature, pH, nitrates, and TDS show for five stations according to the quality standard class I, for DO measurements showed five stations corresponding to Class II standards, BOD measurements were shown to five stations corresponding quality standard Class III, COD measurements at station I, II, III, and V corresponding quality standard Grade I and IV correspond station grade II qualit y standards, measurements at five stations Phosphate appropriate quality standard Class III and IV, and the measurement of TSS at five stations corresponding quality standard class I, II and III.
