Abstract
ABSTRACT
Qibla is the direction of the center for Muslims in do praying. There have been many studies about the direction of the wind to harness the Earth's magnetic field to indicate the direction of the wind. However, from research that there still is global because it just shows the direction of the wind alone. Thus at the end of this project made the Qibla direction system that uses a digital compass sensor. The main method used in this system is to perform mathematical calculations and retrieve data from qiblator, then compare the results of calculations with data from a digital compass that represents the direction of Qibla. Qibla direction can be determined by looking at the LCD display and audible notification in the form of sound recordings obtained from the ISD 25120. When the calculated data from the data qiblator equal to digital compass, meaning the user was facing towards the Qibla.
Based on the results of testing using a digital compass sensor chip using KMZ51 CMPS10yang associated with ATMega8535, the system is able to show the direction of the Qibla to the value of 0.1% Error degrees outdoors and 1.37% indoors. System that has been made is in compliance with the accuracy to be achieved with certain restrictions can be applied as a medium in determining the direction of the Qibla.
