Abstract
ABSTRAK
Dunia pendidikan modern menuntut pimpinan pesantren untuk memiliki kompetensi manajerial. Peran pimpinan pesantren sebagai manajer memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja pendidik. Selain itu, implementasi manajemen pendidikan yang efektif juga mempengaruhi kinerja pendidik yang menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan di pesantren. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui, mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis adanya pengaruh antara kompetensi manajerial pimpinan, manajemen berbasis pendidikan pesantren terhadap kinerja pendidik, (2) untuk mengetahui, mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis besarnya sumbangan efektif kompetensi manajerial pimpinan melalui manajemen berbasis pondok pesantren (MBPP) terhadap kinerja pendidik.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah paradigma kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 143 responden, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian adalah seluruh pendidik pada obyek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/ kuesioner. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif, teknik uji korelasi yang dilanjutkan dengan uji regresi.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) tingkat kompetensi manajerial pimpinan pesantren sebesar 81,17% artinya mayoritas responden berpendapat bahwa pimpinan pesantren memiliki komptensi manajerial yang baik, sedangkan pelaksanaan MBPP sebesar 81,65% yang berarti sebagian besar responden menilai MBPP sudah berjalan efektif, dan kinerja pendidik di pesantren modern 82.77% yang menunjukan mayoritas pendidik sudah memiliki kinerja sesuai harapan instansi. (2). adapun hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan secara parsial kedua variabel independen berpengaruh secara positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pendidik yang masing-masing memiliki sumbangan efektif sebesar 41% untuk kompetensi manajerial pimpinan pesantren dan MBPP sebesar 47%, begitu juga hasil uji simultan secara bersama-sama kedua variabel memiliki sumbangan efektif sebesar 33%. Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi manajerial dan MBPP belum memiliki pengaruh yang besar terhadap kinerja pendidik, karena sisanya sebesar 67% banyak dipengaruhi faktor lain misalnya motivasi, kompensasi, integritas dan lain sebagainya. Meski tidak sepenuhnya dipengaruhi kompetensi manajerial pimpinan dan MBPP, kinerja pendidik yang sudah baik perlu dipertahankan bahkan ditingkatkan.
ABSTRACT
The era of modern education demands the Headmasters of Islamic Boarding Schools to have managerial competence. The Headmasters’ role as manager of Islamic Boarding Schools really have influence towards the teachers’ performance. Moreover, The effectiveness of implementation of educational management may also influence the teachers’ performance that determines the success of education in Islamic Boarding Schools. The purpose of this research were: (1) to know, to describe and to analyze the influence between the Head masters’ managerial competence of Islamic Boarding Schools and the management based on Islamic Boarding School towards the teachers’ performance simultaneously and partially. (2) to know, to describe and to analyze the effective contribution of Headmasters’ managerial competence through the management based on Islamic Boarding School towards the teachers’ performance simultaneously and partially.
The research method that used was the quantitative paradigm. The population of this research was 143 respondents and the sample of this research were all educators at research object. The technique of this data collection was using questionnaires. While the data analysis were descriptive statistical analysis and correlation test technique that followed by regression test).
The result of the research shows: (1) The level of Islamic Boarding School Headmasters’ managerial competence amounts to 81.17% that means most of respondents opine that the Headmasters of Islamic Boarding School have good managerial competency, while the management implementation based on Islamic Boarding School amounts to 81,65% that means most of respondents assess the management based on Islamic Boarding School has been effective and the teachers’ performance in Islamic Boarding School is that means most of teachers already have performance as expected by the agency. (2) The partial results of hypothesis testing showed that the two independent variables have significant positive influence on the teachers’ performance that each of them has effective contribution which amounts to 41% to the Islamic Boarding School Headmasters’ managerial competence and 47% to the management based on Islamic Boarding School, as well as simultaneous test together results, these two variebles have effective contribution which amounts to 33%.
The value indicates that the managerial competence and the management based on Islamic Boarding School do not have yet a great influence on the teachers’ performa due to the rest which amounts to 67% more influenced by other factors such as motivation compensation, integrity, etc. Although it is not entirely influenced by the headmasters’ managerial competence and the management based on Islamic Boarding School, the good teachers’ performance at the Islamic Boarding School need to be maintained and even be improved.
