Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pesatnya arus globalisasi dan ketatnya persaingan dunia pendidikan menjadikan banyak sekolah tidak mampu berkembang dan bertahan. Hal ini disamping karena mutu yang tidak terjamin juga karena sekolah semakin kehilangan karakter disebabkan tidak mampu mempertahankan nilai-nilai lembaga sebagai keunggulan lembaganya. Pada akhirnya berdampak pada moral anak didik bangsa.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis, memahami, dan mendeskripsikan tentang: (1) Nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan di SMP Islam Ma‟arif 02 Malang dan SMP An-Nur Bululawang Malang, (2) Strategi kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter, (3) Persamaan dan perbedaan di kedua lembaga tersebut.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi multi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, pengecekan keabsahan temuan dilakukan dengan cara perpanjangan keikutsertaan peneliti; teknik triangulasi dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber, teori, dan metode; dan ketekunan pengamatan. Informan penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, kepala tata usaha, siswa.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) nilai-nilai karakter inti yang ada pada kedua sekolah (a) nilai-nilai karakter inti SMP Islam Ma‟arif 02 Malang, yaitu: amalan ibadah ahlussunnah wal jama‟ah, akhlak mulia, tolong-menolong, dan disiplin. (b) nilai-nilai karakter inti SMP An-Nur Bululawang Malang, yaitu: nilai keilmuan dan akhlakul karimah; (2) startegi kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter, menggunakan strategi keteladanan, pengkondisian lingkungan, mengintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum, sosialisasi intern dan ektern, kerja sama dengan orang tua dan masyarakat; (3) persamaan: nilai karakter inti sama-sama bersumber dari makna interaksi Al Qur‟an dan Al Hadits dan cita-cita pendiri lembaga. Perbedaan: strategi kepala sekolah SMP Ma‟arif 02 Malang: kerjasama dengan orang tua dan masyarakat, SMP An-Nur Bululawang: bersinergi dengan pondok pesantren.
ABSTRACT
The rapid globalization and competition in the world of education to make a lot of schools are not able to thrive and survive. This addition is not guaranteed because the quality of the school as well as the loss of character due to not able to maintain the values of the institution as an excellence institution. Ultimately have an impact on nation students' moral.
This study aims to analyze, understand, and describe about: (1) The values character are instilled in Islamic Junior High School of Ma `Arif 02 Malang and An-Nur Junior High School of Bululawang Malang, (2) the headmaster strategies in implementing character education, (3) Similarities and differences in the two institutions.
This study used a qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. Data collection was done by using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Technical analysis of the data includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion, checking the validity of the findings made by way of extension of the participation of researchers; triangulation technique using a variety of sources, theories, and methods, and persistence of observation. The research Informants are the headmaster, vice of headmaster, teachers, heads of administration, students.
The results showed that: (1) core character values that exist on both the school (a) the core character values of Islamic Junior High School of Ma `Arif 02 Malang, are: the practice of worship Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah, noble character, mutual help, and discipline. (b) the core character values of and An-Nur Junior High School of Bululawang Malang, are: the value of science and akhlakul karimah, (2) the headmaster strategy in applying the character education, using exemplary strategy, environmental conditioning, integrate into the curriculum, and ektern internal socialization, cooperation with parents and the community, (3) Similarities: the core character values are equally derived from the meaning of the interaction of the Qur'an and Hadith and the ideals of the founder of the institution. Differences: headmaster strategy of Islamic Junior High School of Ma `Arif 02 Malang: partnership with parents and community, An-Nur Junior High School of Bululawang Malang: synergy with the boarding school.
