Abstract
ABSTRACT
Utilization of image processing as a part of informatics engineering is a matter that can be implemented with other subject. Measurement of agriculture’s product for a research to be an example of application that integrates between image processing with agriculture subject. The plant measured by its dimension in this research is lettuce leaf’s width. Before, we measure the lettuce leaf. First, we take a picture of it. After that, we save the photo file. The formulation is we separate the object with its background. We use algorithms binary image and commonly we called threshold method. The process is a digital file with bmp format of lettuce leaf that has white color in its theory and the value is 1 to 255. While, the background will be black color and the value is 0 (zero). So, we just calculate the pixel of its white color. And then, we do calibration with centimeters.
ABSTRAK
Penggunaan image processing sebagai bagian dari disiplin ilmu Teknologi Informasi menjadi suatu hal yang implementatif terhadap bidang studi lain. Pengukuran obyek hasil pertanian untuk penelitian lanjutan menjadi salah satu contoh aplikasi yang mengintegrasi disiplin ilmu Teknologi Informasi (image processing) dengan bidang ilmu pertanian. Obyek tanaman yang diukur dimensinya ialah daun Selada keriting (Lacctuca Sativa var. Crispa L.). Untuk menghitung dimensi daun Selada, mula-mula dilakukan pemisahan antara obyek dengan latar belakangnya menggunakan Algoritma Citra Biner atau lebih tepatnya metode threshold. Obyek daun berwarna putih (0) dan latar belakangnya berwarna hitam (1). Pada penelitian ini pengukuran dilakukan dengan menghitung titik piksel berwarna putih (0) baris per baris yang memisahkannya dari latar belakang obyek sehingga dapat diketahui dimensi daun tersebut.
