Abstract
ABSTRACT
Game is one of the rapidly growing discipline. Artificial intelligence in games are also increasingly diverse and increasingly sophisticated. Progress like this is very useful if the game is built by incorporating educational elements into it. The element can be either formal education as well as subjects at school, or informal education as social education in the form of charity. In order to put the game look more attractive facial animation artificial intelligence, which can express facial expressions like human beings. Facial animation in this game is NonPlayable Character (NPC).
This facial animation using the method of Finite State Machines (FSM). Finite State Machines (FSM) is one of the areas of Artificial Intelligency (AI) that can be applied to AI games. Finite State Machines (FSM) is a method of designing control systems that describe the behavior or the working principle of the system by using the following three things: state, event/transition and action. The design of facial animation is applied to several models NonPlayable Character (NPC) in such games to players' faces, faces of the poor, as well as the two face the enemy.
Game tested and the FSM goes well, this shows bahwsa FSM method suitable for facial animation in this game. Game tested directly to the respondents using the questionnaire for teachers and students, the recapitulation of the questionnaire showed 95% of student respondents stated that this game is exciting and fun and as much as 100% of respondents stated that teachers deserve this game was developed for educational purposes.
