Abstract

ABSTRAK

Dunia teknologi jaringan wireless sudah menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat saai ini. terutama dalam dunia pendidikan.Tugas akhir ini membahas tentang desain hotspot Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang yang pembahasannya dibatasi untuk jaringan outdoor, dengan tujuan sebagai alternatif untuk pemasangan access point didaerah kampus Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. LAN nirkabel yang lebih dikenal dengan jaringan WI-Fi menjadi teknologi laternatif dan relative mudah diimplementasikan dilingkungan kerja seperti perkantoran, laboratorium komputer, dan sebagainya

Access point dengan hardware adalah Access point yang menggunakan perangkat keras untuk memancarkan sinyal radio melalui antena, sehingga dapat diterima oleh antena client.

Access point software adalah access point dengan menggunakan software yang telah diinstal pada PC yang dijadikan access point, sehingga masing- masing client yang sudah terdapat wireless interface didalamnya dapat saling terkoneksi jaringan yang terpusat pada access point.

Perancangan wireless LAN yang dibuat meliputi perencanaan access point hingga dapat diterima dengan baik oleh end-user. Alur koneksi dari provider internet di terima oleh router. Oleh router dilakukan setting untuk mengatur, mengawasi, dan membatasi akses yang masuk. Kemudian masuk ke switch yang dilanjutkan ke beberapa access point hingga sampai ke user mobile.

Dalan desain dirancang Access Point dipasang di 7 titik dalam kampus UIN Maliki Malang. Pemasangan access point ini mempertimbangkan lokasi bangunan, tinggi bangunan, dan daya jangkau pancaran, dengan hitungan matematis daearah Free Space Loss,(FSL), daerah Freznel Zone dan System Operating Margin (SOM). Tujuan dari desain adalah seluruh area kampus (outdoor) dapat tercover semua oleh jaringan internet.

ABSTRACT

World of wireless networking technology has become a necessity these saai society. especially in the final pendidikan.Tugas hotspot is about the design of the State Islamic University of Malang Maulana Malik Ibrahim that the discussion is limited to outdoor networks, with a goal as an alternative to mounting the access point area campus of the State Islamic University of Malang Maulana Malik Ibrahim. Wireless LAN is known as WI-Fi network to alternative technologies and relatively easy to implement the work environment such as offices, computer labs, etc.

Access point to the access point hardware that uses hardware to emit a radio signal via antenna, so the client can be received by the antenna. Denngan software access point is the access point using the software already installed on the PC which is used as an access point, so that each client who has a wireless interface contained therein can be connected to each other on a centralized network access point.

The design of wireless LAN access point is made includes planning to be well received by end-users. The flow connection from internet provider is received by the router. Performed by the router settings to manage, supervise, and restrict access to the entrance. Then go into the switch proceeds to several access points to get to the mobile user.

In the design of the Access Point is designed installed at seven points in the campus UIN Malang Maliki. Installation of an access point is to consider the location of buildings, building height, and coverage of the jet, with a count of mathematical daearah Free Space Loss (FSL), the region Freznel Zone and System Operating Margin (SOM). The purpose of the design is the entire area of the campus (outdoor) can be covered all by the Internet network.
