Abstract
INDONESIA:
Mesin stirling merupakan suatu mesin kalor yang digerakkan melalui siklus kompresi dan ekspansi pada fluida kerja dalam wujud gas. Ada 3 tipe mesin stirling yaitu tipe Alpha, Beta dan Gamma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unjuk kerja reflektor parabolik terhadap intensitas radiasi matahari sebagai sumber energi panas, dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem aliran air pada reservoir rendah terhadap nilai suhu, rpm, dan efisiensi mesin stiling tipe gamma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental untuk mendiskripsikan unjuk kerja mesin stirling tipe gamma dengan sumber panas reflektor parabolik dan sistem aliran air pada reservoir rendah. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa unjuk kerja reflektor parabolik perbesaran intensitas maksimum 2,7 kali. Unjuk kerja mesin stirling tipe gamma dengan sistem aliran air pada reservoir rendah mencapai selisih suhu 315°C, kecepatan putar roda 594 rpm, dan efisiensi 8,6%, sedangkan unjuk kerja mesin stirling tipe gamma tanpa sistem aliran air pada reservoir rendah mencapai selisih suhu 297°C, kecepatan putar roda 542 rpm, dan efisiensi 7,3%.
ENGLISH:
Stirling engine is a heat engine driven through a cycle of compression and an expansion of the working fluid in the gas state. There are 3 types of stirling engine ie, the Alpha, Beta and Gamma types. This research aimed to determine the effect of parabolic reflector toward intensity of solar radiation as heat sources, and the effect of water flow system on the lower reservoir toward temperature, rpm, and efficiency values of the gamma type stirling engine. This research was experimental methods describing the performance of the gamma type stirling engine by heat sources of parabolic reflector and water flow and non water flow system on the low reservoir. It can be concluded that the performance of the parabolic reflector attained maximum magnification 2,7 times. In addition, The water low system attained the temperature difference (315°C), heel rotational speed (594 rpm), and efficiency (8,6%), while The non water flow system attained the temperature difference (297°C), wheel rotational speed (542 rpm), and efficiency (7,3%).
