Abstract

ABSTRACT

One of God gift that is given to human is water. Water in the ground comes from the sky which is stated in al-Qur’an in the chapter al-Furqan verse 48. The water arrives on the ground seeps into the ground through the cavities and will take a place the empty space, which is called by aquifer or groundwater. Not all of the place can be filled by the groundwater easily, like in the village of Wonorejo, the county of Singosari, Malang, which is in every dry season, the villager get the difficulties getting the fresh water. So, the research is held to presume the potential of the groundwater on that village. The research is held by using the resistivity schlumberger sounding configuration method on a line with five sounding points, which extend from west to east by length of 1000 meters.

The result of the research shows that in the research area is dominated by the volcano rocks, like: tuff breccia, volcano breccia, agglomerates, lava and tuff. The rocks which is assumed bringing the properties of soil water is in the volcano breccia and agglomerates. Four of five sounding points which is assumed the potential groundwater, which is on the second until fifth sounding point. The first sounding point has no existence of the groundwater because it is dominated by the rocks of lava and tuff, which has the high point of resistivity. The best potential of the groundwater is suspected on the third sounding which is located on the depth of 92,3 meter.
