Abstract
ABSTRAK
Indonesia adalah negara yang berada di daerah tropis, sehingga merupakan daerah endemik bagi penyakit yang diperantarai penyebarannya oleh nyamuk. Pengendalian nyamuk maupun perlindungan terhadap gigitan nyamuk merupakan usaha untuk mencegah penyebaran penyakit tersebut. Penggunaan bahan kimia seperti insektisida dan pemberian bubuk abate untuk telur dan larvanya memang memberikan hasil yang efektif dan optimal, namun banyak dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan baik terhadap organisme hidup maupun lingkungan sekitar. Dengan adanya dampak tersebut perlu dipikirkan metode yang baik untuk membunuh larva nyamuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis paparan gelombang ultrasonik dan suhu air terhadap jumlah kematian larva Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus setelah dipapari gelombang ultrasonik.
Penelitian ini menggunakan tranduser ultrasonik sebagai pembangkit gelombang ultrasonik. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 20 ekor biakan larva Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus yang diperoleh dari Laboratoriun Entomologi Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jawa Timur, Surabaya, masing-masing dimasukkan ke dalam 100 ml air kemudian dipapari dengan gelombang ultrasonik dengan frekuensi 86 kHz dan jarak pemaparan 2 cm dari permukaan air, dan pemberian variasi suhu air 20oC, 25oC, 30oC dan dosis paparan yaitu daya 25 watt, 50 watt, 75 watt, 100 watt, dan waktu paparan 10 menit, 20 menit, 30 menit. Setelah itu dihitung jumlah kematian larva dan dianalisa.
Dosis paparan gelombang ultrasonik mempengaruhi jumlah kematian larva Aedes aegypti maupun larva Aedes albopictus. Nilai kematian tertinggi larva Aedes aegypti maupun Aedes albopictus yaitu pada daya 100 W dan waktu 30 menit. Suhu air mempengaruhi jumlah kematian larva Aedes aegypti maupun larva Aedes albopictus. Jumlah kematian larva Aedes aegypti maupun larva Aedes albopictus semakin besar ketika diberi pemaparan gelombang ultrasonik dengan pemberian suhu air yang lebih tinggi. Nilai kematian tertinggi larva Aedes aegypti maupun Aedes albopictus yaitu pada suhu 30oC. Dengan persen kematian masing-masing larva Aedes aegypti sebesar 95% dan larva Aedes albopictus sebesar 90%.
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is a country in the tropics, so that is an area endemic for the disease which is spread by mosquitoes. Mosquito control and protection against mosquito bites is an effort to prevent the spread of the disease. The use of chemicals such as insecticides and the giving abate powder to the egg and larvae are indeed provide an effective and optimum results, but a lot of the negative impact caused to the living organisms and the environment. With the presence of such impacts need to be considered a good method to kill mosquito larvae. This research aims to know the influence of ultrasonic wave exposure dose and water temperature on the number of dead larvae of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus after exposure with ultrasonic wave.
This research using tranduser ultrasonic as power station ultrasonic waves. The samples were used 20 tail breed larvae Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus which is obtained from the Laboratory of Entomology Department of Health of the Province of East Java, Surabaya, each put in 100 ml of water and then exposure with ultrasonic waves with a frequency of 86 kHz and distance for exposure 2 cm from the surface of the water, and the water temperature variation of of 20oC, 25oC, 30oC and exposure dose of 25 Watt, 50 Watt, 75 Watt, 100 Watt, and the time of exposure to 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes. After that the number of deaths is calculated and analyzed larvae.
A dose of exposure to ultrasonic waves affecting the amount of the death of the larvae Aedes aegypti and larvae Aedes albopictus. The value of the highest death larvae Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus with the power 100 Watt and time of 30 minutes. Water temperature affecting the amount of the death of the larvae Aedes aegypti and larvae Aedes albopictus. The number of deaths larvae Aedes aegypti and larvae Aedes albopictus the bigger when given exposure ultrasonic waves with the provision of water temperature higher. The value of the highest death larvae Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, with the temperature 30o C.With percent of deaths each larvae Aedes aegypti is 95% and larvae Aedes albopictus is 90%.
