Abstract
ABSTRACT
The clean water quality availability for humans are limited. The purpose of this study using an electromagnetic field application is an attempt to improve the water quality. In this research a few pipes that toroidal pipes, pipes that Rodin and caduceus pipe then the water is drained and then connected to an electromagnetic field devices. Processed water pipes are then tested physical properties of water include pH test, test of temperature, and test of electrical conductivity of water. Then the observed effects on plant growth rate.
The study results showed an average pH value of the water is 6.84, 7.49 toroid treated water pipe, pipe Rodin 7.48, and caduceus pipe 7.42. The average value of the temperature of the water taps is 25.18o Celsius, for a toroidal pipe treated water inlet temperature 27.26o Celsius and outlet 27.08o Celsius, the temperature of the treated water inlet and outlet caduceus pipe 27.74o Celcius and 26.8o Celsius, while the temperature treated water inlet pipe Rodin outlet temperature of 27.18o Celsius and 27.3o Celsius. The average value of the treated water pipe toroidal conductivity 3.24 μmho/cm, 2.72 Rodin pipe μmho/cm, 3.61 cadeceus pipe μmho/cm, and water taps for the electrical conductivity value of 1.86 μmho/cm. Application of electromagnetic fields do not affect the growth rate of pepper plants are watered using treated water. While the eggplant plants, plant growth rate influenced by the treated water pipe toroid with an average height of plant growth 0.933 cm/week.
