Abstract
ABSTRACT
Archeology direct studies on the human heritage objects that was material and associated with the most ancient periods in human history to be presented again. Badut Temple was a classic transitional style building from Central Java to East Java. In the beginning, it just a mound of rocks, rubble and ground. So, we need a geomagnetic method to know the structure and the position of archaeological Badut Temple.
Data were collected by using magnetometer tool, type of proton precession magnetometer (PPM) for one day with an area of 3025 m2 area, and point measurements made at a distance of 2.5 meters, so that produce 418 point measurement. Interpretation was done qualitatively and quantitatively by using software surfer 10, magpick and mag2dc.
The result of this research was obtained a residual magnetic anomaly contour map has a variety of anomalous values between -1000 nT s/d 800 nT. The possibility of high-value anomaly was suspected of the main temple and the temple foundation fence that was located at the west of the main temple. The main temple and the temple fence made of andesite. For a quantitative interpretation of the results obtained in slices AB susceptibility value 0.613 at the main temple of rock with a depth of 3 meters and 0.23 susceptibility values at the foundation of the fence at the west of the main temple at a
depth of 2 meters.
