Abstract

ABSTRAK

Identifikasi golongan senyawa aktif dan uji aktivitas antifungi ekstrak bayam duri (Amaranthus spinosus L.) terhadap perkecambahan spora Puccinia arachidis dan Phakopsora pachyrhizi dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antifungi ekstrak bayam duri dalam tiap fraksi metanol dan n-heksan terhadap perkecambahan spora P. arachidis dan P. pachyrhizi.

Ekstraksi senyawa aktif dilakukan dengan metode maserasi dan aktivitas antifungi didasarkan pada nilai LC50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak campuran fraksi metanol memiliki aktivitas antifungi terhadap perkecambahan spora P. arachidis dan P. pachyrhizi tertinggi dengan nilai LC50 62,7 ppm dan 75,2 ppm yang memiliki potensi sebagai antimikroba.

Hasil Identifikasi golongan senyawa aktif menggunakan uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ektrak bayam duri fraksi metanol mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan terpenoid. Fraksi n-heksan mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, terpenoid, dan steroid. Hasil identifikasi menggunakan FTIR menunjukkan bahwa isolat flavonoid mengandung gugus OH, C–H alifatik, C=O, C=C aromatis, CH2, C–O, dan asam monokarboksilat.

ABSTRACT

Identification of active compound group and activity assay of antifungal Amaranthus spinosus L. toward spore germination of Puccinia arachidis and Phakopsora pachyrhizi was conducted to know the activity of antifungal thorn spinach extract in each methanol and of n-hexane fraction concerning spore germination of P. arachidis and P. pachyrhizi.

Extraction of active compound was conducted by using maceration method and antifungal activity based on value LC50. Result of the research indicated that methanol fraction mixture extract has highest activity of antifungal toward spore germination of P. arachidis and P. pachyrhizi with value LC50, 62,7 ppm and 75,2 ppm that have potential as antimicrobial.

Identification result of active compound group using phytochemical test indicated that methanol fraction of A. spinosus extract contained alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, and terpenoid. n-Hexane fraction contained alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, terpenoid, and steroid. Identification result using FTIR indicated that flavonoid isolate contained OH group, C-H aliphatic, C=O, C=C aromatic, CH2, C-O, and monocarboxylic acid
