Abstract
ABSTRAK
Karbon aktif biji kelor berpotensi digunakan sebagai adsorben pada pengolahan minyak ikan hasil samping pengalengan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh proses degumming, netralisasi, bleaching mengguna-kan karbon aktif biji kelor (Moringa oleifera., Lamk) teraktivasi NaCl terhadap komposisi asam-asam lemak minyak ikan hasil samping pengalengan ikan.
Penelitian ini meliputi: (1) Analisis kadar air biji kelor, (2) Pembuatan karbon aktif biji kelor dengan aktivasi kimia (perendaman dengan NaCl 30 %), karbonisasi (suhu 800°C selama 30 menit) dilakukan satu tahap dengan aktivasi fisika menggunakan gas nitrogen (N2) dengan kecepatan alir 200 ml/menit, (3) Pemurnian minyak ikan: proses degumming, netralisasi, bleaching menggunakan karbon aktif biji kelor (Moringa oleifera., Lamk), (4) Pembuatan metil ester asam lemak dari minyak ikan (5) Analisis komposisi asam-asam lemak minyak ikan dengan GC-MS.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan area relatif asam lemak jenuh dan tak jenuh dalam minyak ikan hasil degumming. Penurunan area relatif asam lemak jenuh dan tak jenuh dalam minyak ikan hasil netralisasi. Penurunan area relatif asam lemak jenuh dan tak jenuh dalam minyak ikan hasil bleaching.
ABSTRACT
Activated Carbon of (Moringa oleifera., Lamk) Seeds have potentially as adsorben at fish oil which is side results of canning fish. This study purposes to determine the influence of the process of degumming, neutralization, bleaching using activated carbon of (Moringa oleifera., Lamk) seeds activated by NaCl of fatty acids of fish oil which is side results of canning fish.
The study includes: (1) Analysis of water content of moringa oleifera seeds, (2) Carbon activating from moringa oleifera seeds using chemical activation (soaking with NaCl 30%), one step carbonization with physical activation in fluidized bed reactor heated at temperature of 800 ⁰C for 30 minutes using N₂ gas and 200 ml/minute of flow rate, (3) Purification of fish oil which is side results of canning fish: degumming, neutralization, bleaching using activated carbon of moringa oleifera seeds, (4) Making methyl ester fatty acid from fish oil, (5)Analysis fish oil by GC-MS.
The results showed that the process of purification fish oil and process of bleaching using activated carbon of moringa oleifera seeds activated by NaCl can reduction fatty acids in fish oil which is side results of canning fish as indicated by the reduction in different areas on the GC-MS.
