The writers use bald on record strategies when they want to shock or embarrass the readers or the criticized people by doing FTA with maximum efficiency than to satisfy their face. The bald on record strategy used are being imperative, teasing, warning, and offers. Meanwhile, the positive politeness is used when the writers want to give respect to the readers and the criticized people. The positive politeness strategy used are intensifying interest, presuppose or assert common ground, include hearer and speaker in the activity, give gift to hearer, use in group identity marker, notice or attends to hearer’s want, give reasons, assert knowledge of hearer’s wants, being optimistic, and exaggerate interest. The negative politeness strategy is used when the writers want to satisfy the negative face of the readers or the criticized people, namely their wants to have freedom. The negative politeness used are give deference, state the FTA as a general rule, be pessimistic, apologize, and hedge. The off record strategy is used to do FTA toward the readers and the criticized people with avoiding responsibility for doing it. The off record strategies used are over generalize, using contradiction, giving hints, rhetorical questions, giving association clues, presuppose, and being ironic.
