Abstract
ABSTRAK
Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran akan bermakna bila terjadi kegiatan belajar antara guru dan siswa. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan melalui proses belajar siswa dan proses guru saat mengajar. Oleh karena itu penting sekali bagi guru memahami sebaik-baiknya tentang proses belajar siswa sehingga dapat memberikan bimbingan dan lingkungan belajar yang tepat dan serasi bagi siswa. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa dalam proses belajar adalah gaya belajar siswa itu sendiri. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan variasi gaya belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu kelas VII E dan F SMP Negeri 18 Malang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kulitatif dengan jenis penelitan deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk keabsahan data penelitian ini, peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui observasi yang dilakukan dalam proses belajar siswa, kuesioner terkait variasi gaya belajar siswa, wawancara bersama siswa kelas VII E dan F beserta guru mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu, dan dokumentasi secara langsung mengenai gambaran tentang SMP Negeri 18 Malang.
Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti tentang “variasi gaya belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu kelas VII SMP 18 Malang” bahwasannya terdapat enam gaya belajar dengan hasil prosentase sebagai berikut: pertama gaya belajar visual dengan prosentase 54,6 %, kedua gaya belajar kolaboratif dengan prosentase 17,1 %, ketiga gaya belajar auditorial dengan prosentase 10,9 %, keempat gaya belajar taktile dengan prosentase 9,3 %, kelima gaya belajar kinestetik dengan prosentase 4,6 %, dan keenam gaya belajar verbal dengan prosentase 3,1 %.
Dari hasil prosentase gaya belajar di atas, guru dapat mengetahui setiap gaya belajar siswa dengan ini guru dapat melakukan pembaharuan dalam proses belajar mengajar, mulai dari guru mengembangkan kompetensi inti dan kompetensi dasar, membuat rencana pembelajaran, penyajian metode yang bervariasi, memotivasi diri siswa, penilaian, hingga evaluasi pembelajaran siswa. Dengan terlaksananya pembaharun guru maka akan tercipta pembelajaran yang aktif, inovatif, kreatif dan menyenangkan.
ABSTRACT
In learning activities will get a meaning when occured the learning activities among teachers and students. This can be evidenced through the learning process of students and teachers in the teaching process. Therefore it was important for teachers to understand as well as possible on students learning so as to provide guidance and appropriate learning environment, harmonious for students. The factors which affect students in learning process were the students learning styles itself.
The purpose of this research was to describe variations of students learning styles toward integrated social subjects in class VII E and F SMPN 18 Malang. This study used a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive research as the types. For the validity of the data of this research, researcher collected data through observations made in the students learning process, a questionnaire related to variations toward students learning styles, interviews with the students of class VII E and F as well as the Integrated Social Science teachers, and directly documentation related to the drawing about Junior High School 18 Malang.
The results of the research done by researcher about" variation of students learning styles toward Integrated social subjects of class VII in SMP 18 Malang " that there are six learning styles with the percentage results as follows : first a visual learning style with a percentage of 54.6 %, second, collaborative learning style with a percentage of 17.1 %, third, auditory learning style with a percentage of 10.9 %, fourth, taktile learning style with a percentage of 9.3% ,fifth kinesthetic learning style with the percentage of 4.6 %, and sixth, verbal learning styles with percentage of 3.1 %.
From the percentage results of learning styles above, teachers can know each student's learning style with these teachers can innovate toward learning and teaching, beginning of teachers when developed dominent competencies and basic competencies, creating the learning plans, making presentation a varied methods, self-motivated students, assessment, and evaluating student learning. With the implementation of modernity of teachers will create an active, innovative, creative and fun learning.
