Abstract
ABSTRAK
Keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran tergantung bagaimana seorang pendidik menerapkan suatu metode dalam kelas. Pemilihan metode dapat disesuaikan materi pelajaran yang akan disampaikan. Pada pembelajaran geografi, salah satu metode yang cocok diterapkan adalah metode mind map. Metode mind map memiliki manfaat bagi pembelajaran khususnya pembelajaran geografi. Di antaranya siswa dapat menjadi lebih kreatif dan mengingat lebih baik materi geografi yang disampaikan oleh guru.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan proses perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode mind map pada siswa kelas X MIA 1 (lintas minat) mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang, (2) mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode mind map pada siswa kelas X MIA 1 (lintas minat) mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang, (3) mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan metode mind map pada siswa kelas X MIA 1 (lintas minat) mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang.
Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, digunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus penelitian. Instrumen utama adalah peneliti sendiri dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif yang diperoleh selama melakukan pengamatan langsung di lapangan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) proses perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode mind map pada siswa kelas X MIA 1 (lintas minat) mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang mengalami modifikasi pada siklus ke dua dan siklus ke tiga, (2) proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode mind map pada siswa kelas X MIA 1 (lintas minat) mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang berjalan dengan baik di mana guru merasa mendapat pengalaman baru dan siswa merasa senang belajar, (3) hasil penerapan metode mind map pada siswa kelas X MIA 1 (lintas minat) mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang dapat diketahui dari hasil pengamatan pada tiap siklus, pada siklus satu hasil prosentase motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 50,48% (cukup), kemudian pada siklus ke dua meningkat menjadi 66,66% (baik) atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 16,18%, dan pada siklus ke tiga meningkat menjadi 84,45% (sangat baik) atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 17,79%.
ABSTRACT
Success in learning depends on how an educator implementation a method in a class. The selection method can be adapted learning materials to be delivered. In geography lessons, one suitable method applied is the method of mind mapping. Mind mapping methods have benefits for learning, especially learning geography. Among these students can become more creative and better recall of material presented by the teacher of geography.
The purpose of this study was to: (1) describe the planning process of learning by applying methods mind map in class X Mathematical And Physics Sciences 1 (cross-interest) geography subjects in State Senior High School 3rd Malang, (2) describe the implementation process of learning by applying the method on a mind map class X Mathematical And Physics Sciences 1 (cross- interest) geography subjects in State Senior High School 3rd Malang, (3) describe the results of applying the method mind map in class X Mathematical And Physics Sciences 1 (cross-interest) geography subjects in State Senior High School 3rd Malang.
The above objectives achieve, the study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research conducted by three research cycles. The main instrument is the researcher's own, and data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis obtained during direct observation in the field.
The results showed that, (1) the planning process by applying methods of learning mind map in class X Mathematical And Physics Sciences 1 (cross- interest) geography subjects in State Senior High School 3rd Malang been modified in the second cycle and third cycle, (2) the implementation process learning by applying methods mind map in class X Mathematical And Physics Sciences 1 (cross-interest) geography subjects in State Senior High School 3 Malang goes well in which teachers feel a new experience and the students were delighted to learn, (3) the results of the application of the method of mind mapping on student Mathematical And Physics Sciences X class 1 (cross-interest) geography subjects in State Senior High School 3rd Malang can be seen from the results of observations in each cycle, the cycle of the results of students' motivation percentage of 50.48% (enough), then the second cycle increased to 66 , 66% (good) or an increase of 16.18%, and the third cycle increased to 84.45% (excellent) or an increase of 17.79%.
